Funny friend encounters

    I guess the topic title is a bit weird, lol, but then again, I can't really post the entire question in the title, lol.

    What is the funniest way you've ever got into a conversation with someone who later became a friend to you? Are there funny stories behind your first encounter with each other? Share them here!

    I met one of my friends (@[member="Wyxamex"] knows him in real life, I'm talking about Chris, wyx :P) at a voluntary job I did during the last week of our summer holiday. I was drawing an Oshawott on a piece of paper that was left over from the drawing activity from that afternoon. I don't know why, but suddenly I showed him my Oshawott drawing (I'm not really comfortable with showing complete strangers my love for Pokémon and stuff, so this was VERY weird for me) and I said "Well? It looks cute, doesn't it?" He replied with: "Yeah! That's Oshawott, right?" Pokémon isn't that popular anymore so I was really surprised to hear this from him. Naturally, we ended up talking very enthusiastically about Pokémon and some other things for a long time and we've stayed friends ever since. Thinking back to that day, it's still really weird how all this went, lol.

    Well I have quite a few of these to share actually!

    Now, two of my friend (Namely, Mega dear up here and another friend, Jasper) I met during schooltime. The first day of the >does maths< 8th grade! (that's second class, Mega =w=b ) we had this introduction day, and I ended up sitting near the teacher because I didn't know everyone. When suddenly, I heard a conversation about wasps. So I, with my useless facts, told them casually that a lot of wasps actually bit during the summer months as an attempt to get food, and they only stung when in danger. For some reason, that ended up with us talking and later becoming friends.

    Now another friend of mine, Mabel, I met during a homework class. She was drawing Tokyo Mew Mew stuff (Kisshu and Taruto if I'm correct) and I just went 'Oh my god I know these guys!' At first I barely talked, but then another friend ditched me and I was left with nothing to do. Now, I didn't feel like going home and recognized her in the hallway, which led me to walk up to her and go "Do you have anything to do today? I'm bored." This, in turn, led to us talking more and becoming great friends!

    The moral of this story is to randomly talk to strangers. worst case scenario they think you're weird and you'll never see them again, probably.
