Games that you bought a new system just to play

Got the Wii U for the Super Smash Bros 4. I need to get more games for it soon lol.

 

Back when my brother and I were into rhythm games, we mostly got our Xbox 360 for that very reason - to be able to play online and get DLC. We don't play them anymore, but I do have them at my parents' house so I might revisit them just for kicks someday.

 

Pokémon X. I was wanting to upgrade anyway, so I waited until it came out and it was black friday.

 

Yep, bought the GBC (for Red & Blue) and the DS Lite (For Platinum & HG/SS) just to play Pokémon. Bought the 3DS for Ocarina of Time initially, otherwise I would've bought it for X & Y. The 3DS really made it to where I can now enjoy pretty much any and every game on a handheld just as much as on a TV screen with a gaming console.

 

Pokémon X/Y, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and Gates to Infinity were the main reasons for wanting the 3DS, but I've also built up my library pretty decently outside of those. Not my case, but my brother had only wanted a Wii U for Sm4sh, while I'd wanted one all along. We now own a pretty small, but decent amount of games for it, most of which are mine.

 

I got the PS3 solely to play Project Diva and Tales of Xillia. God damn, they were worth it.

 

Honestly, bought a 3DS just for Pokémon Y. I'm just too in love with Pokémon. It's a hook for me. I wouldn't have bought one without the announcement of Pokémon.

And the Wii for Super Smash Bros Brawl.

 

I pretty much bought my xbox 360 for Halo, bought my DS and 3DS for Pokémon, and bought my Nintendo Wii for Wii Sports. Small list, but it's the truth xD

 

I bought My 3DS, just to play Pokémon Y! But i would say it was well worth it!

 

*Cough* 3ds/ for TOTA (although I already played the game on the PS2) and Pokémon, And My Xbox for Tales of Vesperia *Cough*
