Pokémon generations 1-4 has static, motionless sprites. When generation 5 came around we got new dynamic sprites which move around during battle. What I'm curious about if you prefer the dynamic sprites to the current day models in generation 6. I was thinking about it and there's just something about gen 5's sprites that adds a lot of personality to the game. The gen 6 models don't move as much as the gen 5 ones and for that reason I actually prefer the gen 5 sprites. even if they are 2D. What are your thoughts about this? Please share!

When it comes to Gen 1-5 sprites, I actually do like the gen 5 sprites. They show more movement when it comes to being summoned or summarized. THey even show action at times during battle. However, I'm more into Gen 6 sprites. Gen 6 shows a little more action in battle. True, they do not move much and stand there during standby phases, but it just shows their waiting for their commands like the texts say.

I prefer the semi-static variety seen in Crystal, Emerald, and HGSS; with just the initial movement. The pixellated constant bounciness seems overly stiff and non-believable to me, so I'd rather just have something that's completely accepting with its own I'm-just-a-picture trait than a halfway between pixel picture and real motion.

However, I even more prefer the full organic look of Gen 6. The first time I started up AlphaSapphire I was like "Soooo pretty!" and I've enjoyed every single sprite-to-model upgrade I've seen. Back when the change was first announced I was hesitant, but now I'm glad it's this way.

I do enjoy when Pokémon started to become life-like if it comes to sprites in Gen V, which makes me like it even more than the sprites of Gen I-IV. Sometimes I prefer the sprites of Gen V because of the vibrant of the color, but sometimes I also prefer the 3D ones on Gen VI because it's also pretty good.

I loved gen 5's sprites where the Pokémon began to show more fluid, life-like movements. In a way, they're displaying their individual personalities much more than before, which I approve. I can't comment much on gen 6's sprites though as I have not experienced them much, but with the limited exposure I have gotten from Showdown battles and YouTube videos, I can say that I like them just as much.

I love Gen 5's dynamic sprites! They're so much more playful and unique compared to the more static Gen 6 3D models. I felt like Gen 5 had more of an entertaining show of movement, which I really appreciate.

I really find the gen 5 sprite a bit odd. Some are nice but frankly I adore the gen 6 3d Pokémon

Gen 5's sprites were definitely better than earlier generations, but I do like Gen 6's 3D sprites more. I don't like seeing my Pokémon moving too much (mostly because it looks pixelated). The movement of Gen 6 sprites is just right in my opinion.

I Really was surprised when these dynamic (?) sprites were shown, and I really like them!!
Even though I liked gen 6's sprites more, I did really enjoy them!

I really loved Gen 5's sprites! They were really cool, and I wish we had been able to have them for more than four games.

However, the 3D models are cool too, but the colors on the sprites are so vibrant that they really come to life.
