Need some help building your team in Black and White or Black 2 and White 2? Just post here and ask for suggestions/tips!

I'm going to be playing White 2 soon, so I'd like help building a team which is good for ingame play. I don't want to use any of the former Pokémon I have used, you can check them out here. I'm considering ditching my starter this time around too.

I have plans to use a Sneasel and possibly a Claydol. I'd like a Pokémon which can learn fly too, if possible. Feel free to suggest Pokémon to use here, would be a great help!

I'd like a team which will have an advantage against some of the gyms and at least the Elite Four. I like to use Fighting, Psychic and Dark types if possible. I always want at least a Water, Fire and MAYBE a grass type, but I don't need one if I have an electric.

This is my Team in Pokémon White:
    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]
And this was mine in Pokémon White 2:
    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

I know, this are not normal teams but they worked out very well, especially Lucario did a great job!

I think this MIGHT help :o
    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG], and [IMG]/[IMG]
Riolu/Shroomish can beat Cheren, due to their fighting moves. (I'd recommend Lucario though, Shroomish only learns his by egg moves.)
Baltoy is Physic, so it can beat Roxie.
Vulpix is fire, so it can beat Burgh.
Due to the few rock moves and 1 ground move Baltoy learns, it can beat Elesa.
Lanturn could handle Clay with no problem.
Lanturn does learn electric moves, so it could beat Skyla, too.
Sneasel/Weavile can learn a few ice moves to beat Drayden.
    Breloom/Lanturn could beat Marlon.
Most of Shauntal's team is Ghost, so Weavile could take them out.
Lucario/Breloom/Weavile could take out Grimsley, (be warned though, Weavile/Sneasel learns his by tm and such)
Caitlin is Physic, so Weavile could beat her.
Claydol is physic, so he could beat Marshall.
Weavile can learn a few ice moves like I said earlier, so it could take out the dragon Pokémon & archeops in Iris' team. For the other Pokémon, you could use Breloom/Lucario.
Togekiss is a good wall imo, and it can learn fly, and it learns a few fighting moves.

It's good advice, but pretty sure some of those aren't in the main game Pokédex, so I'd rather not use them. :(

Walrein, nice. I really like Walrein, it's been very useful to me on my Black 2 team. If you didn't have Claydol for a ground type (I'm assuming you don't want any double-types at all) I would suggest a Krookodile for your dark type. Might still be a decent choice even with Claydol if you are going to use it for mostly special psychic type attacks. For your fire type, what about Volcarona?

Volcarona! Yes! I considered him, so I'll use him for sure. (Hook me up with an electric type, homie.)

That new font of yours is kinda bad Doimey, but why do I have a feeling you'll keep it now to oppose me and my fatherly wishes?

For electric, how about Ampharos? Available very early.

Yes I will keep it, I like Courier New. Deal with it. :)

I'm going to say no there, I just really don't like it stat wise and design wise and it's not a favorite of mine either so...

If you're using a Sneasel, I might suggest putting a Gallade in there, too. The two seem to compliment each other, so long as Gallade has Stone Edge or Rock Slide to take care of bug and fire type Pokémon that would prey on Sneasel. When Sneasel evolves, it will be strong enough to take out ghost and flying opponents of Gallade.

I would recommend Probopass, he's not an electric type but he learns a lot of good electric type moves by level up, he can tank water types with he's amazing special and standard defense and he can destroy flying types! If you don't like the idea you can always use a Magnezone or Jolteon!

Probopass is...interesting, but I'm not really too fond of him. And I probably won't use Sneasel now, but anyways Gallade isn't in the main Pokédex I don't think.

I have decided now on what will be my team, though it's quite possibly I may have a change of heart whilst playing through. I usually end up changing most of the team by the end, but we'll see.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

I think it's an interesting bunch of Pokémon I haven't used before, well or haven't used in a while. (I'm using a Croagunk in Platinum right now, but I've still never used one in generation 5, same goes for Claydol, Walrein)

So tell me, what do you think of the final team? If you have any more suggestions, feel free.

Did you consider replacing your starter for something with more strength to it? I always find the starters are a bit "meh" :D I am very much a fan of the rest of your team, however! I also have a Walrein for ingame.

I would use something else, but I really can't find a good Grass type I want or an electric type I haven't used before/like so it really leaves that one as my best choice, it's not an awful Pokémon really.

The problem with Hydreigon is that you don't get to catch a Zweillous until way late into the game, and even if you transferred yourself a Deino, by the time you reach the league it'll still be NFE and be a slight drawback. Hydreigon is a beast, but it's kinda hard to use in-game....

No croagunk! :( , Lucario is great but I feel he is WAY overused in B2/W2, thats probably why I didn't use him
You probably changed Croagunk because of crobat, so maybe a new flying type, like a skarmory or Altaria! you could put croagunk back in and replace
    Serperior, with leafeon!
When I can't find a good electric type I usually replace it with a normal type that can learn electric moves, but again thats just me!

Deleted my previous post so I can make a new one without having to edit/bump.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

These are my possible candidates for a team. I'm still not sure yet though, and will probably change around some of them as I'll have to transfer.

Again, really not sure. I know for sure that I want to have at least one Grass, water fire, psychic, dark and fighting type on my team.

You could grab a Metang and evolve it into Metagross. You can find Metang in the Giant Chasm at a decent level (mid-40's, I believe... close to evolution). That would fill up your Psychic spot and give you a decent powerhouse.
