    The only thing I ever really had to ask permission to use at one stage was Youtube, but even then I rarely used it. For the most part, I didn't really need to ask permission for my usage of the Internet, provided they had my word that I'd use it sensibly (years later, obsessed with memes welp). I used it mainly for research at first anyway, which was definitely acceptable.
