So I'm currently planning on making my own RPG horror game and so far I basically have concept sketches and a summery of events all finished. Now I am working on the script (what the characters say, ect. Not the coding script.)

Anyway, what I'm wanting to talk about is the fact that I in no means have any experience with making RPG games before. I just don't really know how to go about with this.

I am an art major and was planning on doing the artwork myself, but my weaknesses in life just so happen to be both coding and sounds/music. So I was just wondering if anybody knows whether I should try to get a team together to work on this thing instead of trying to do everything myself? And would that be very expensive on my part; if so, should I create a kickstarter/patreon to help me in some way? Also, if I do, how would I even go about with that kind of thing?

I am very new to the game making world and any kind of help that you could give me is much appreciated.

I'd say since you openly admit coding and sound design are some weakpoints for you to maybe seek out a reliable partner to collaborate with, if you want to truly commit to your game development idea, and are willing to invest a substantial amount of hours into putting it all together. Because a burden shared is a burden halved~

I would maybe suggest you at least take a look at some of the tools at your disposal for developing an RPG. Here is one program; link

For things like music, you don't necessarily have to make your own. Simply seek out media that is royalty free, and openly available to use in any shape and form that you see fit. The following is a link to one such website, which hosts quite a bit of music; link

    Hope this helps!
