    Have you noticed that one of Ghetsis' arms is always under his cape thing? Even in the games and anime it's like that.

    Do you think something happened to his arm, it certainly seems to be implied.

    I don't know if there's already a thread on this, so if there is, sorry.

    you know, I do question that alot!!! I have no idea of it but maybe he just happens to keep one arm inside???? (doubt it) but maybe he was battling and his arm just got shot off of his body lol.

    The possiblities are endless!

    It just seems so much like they're trying to imply that he got hurt in some way. I've even thought that maybe his arm is entirely gone, or maybe just not usable anymore.

    I think it's merely a design choice. Ghetsis, who fancies himself an emporer or king, being wrapped in his robes. Most of him being hidden, unused, symbolizes he doesn't do the work, he's not out there doing any grunt stuff, he has his people to command to do that for his cause, and I wouldn't be surprised if this whole 'leader hidden arm' thing wasn't based on the famous paintings of Napoleon where one arm is sort of hidden inside his shirt.

    According to his Trivia on Bulbapedia, his arm is seen in the opening for Black and White and it appears discolored. Some sort of accident, perhaps? I keep thinking chemical accident for some reason.

    Okay. I could see something like that. It just seems odd to me since he has his arm constantly covered, he needs a cane, and on top of that, on the same side of his body as the covered arm he wears that thing over his eye.

    The cane in B2/W2 was merely the tool he used to control Kyurem and catch either of the other dragons. I don't think he "needed" it in the usual sense, per se, but it was essential to his plan of controlling Kyurem and covering Unova in ice.

    Given what his trivia says about his arm, I'm wagering some sort of accident. I keep thinking chemical accident since his trivia says his right arm appears in the opening of BW and it looks discolored. His eye piece, I think is just there to indicate he's not a good guy. I've seen a lot of bad guys wear monocles or something of that nature.

    I could see there being more to the eye piece, but there are a lot of things that could be, and aren't, I guess. I'd like to think that whatever happened to Ghetsis is complicated enough to have effected his eye as well, but it's just as possible that there's nothing to it. I've only seen the full Black/White intro once, and I didn't pay attention to his arm. I'll take a look at it next time I play the game.
