Okay, this thread works like this. The person above you describes some artists/gernes they like, and then the next person gives them a recommendation. Then, that person describes their taste, and so on.

    Example:

Person 1: I like alternative rock, like Imagine Dragons. What should I listen to?

Person 2: I think you should check out Fall Out Boy! They've got six studio albums, and each is kind of different. Check them out! (Maybe give them a song to listen to?)

My taste is bands like that, but I also like rap sometimes. What should I listen to?

Person 3: DEFINITELY check out twenty one pilots. They kind of have a vibe like that, and they rap in their songs! They do have more of an indie pop vibe, though.

And so on, and so forth.

So, me first. I mainly listen to stuff like Fall Out Boy, twenty one pilots and Panic! at the Disco. However, I also like pop and alternative, like Taylor Swift and Lorde. What do you think I could try next? What should I listen to?

You might like a more underrated band (that I also happen to like) called Starset. Their two top songs I recommend are "My Demons" & "Carnivore".

I'm generally into hard rock bands most of the time, like Three Days Grace, Shinedown, Saliva, Nickelback etc.
I am seeking more underground bands (though I listen to a few already) I would like more recommendations. What does the below user recommend?

This recommendation might be a little left-field, but have you heard of Infected Mushroom? They're an Israeli group (fairly underground to an American audience I think) who makes a pretty unique style of mixing rock, techno, and a third ingredient that can be anything from trance to metal to jazz to rap. Try youtubing their name combined with "Smashing the Opponent" "Can't Stop" "Killing Time", or if you're looking for something without words, "Heavyweight" (one of their best songs if you ask me).

I've been listening to too much Heavy Metal and Classical lately, and I've been looking for something fresh. I came across a song called "Judo Flip" by Asheru, a good Hiphop song about personal growth and rising from difficulty.

I know a lot of modern hiphop can be violent or loaded with unnecessary nastiness, but does anyone know of any more positive or clean artists in the genre? I haven't heard much, so I'm open to try pretty much anything of the genre right now.

Well as far as that goes there's a christian rapper called KJ-52 who's pretty feckin' great if you don't mind the occasional mention of Jesus. Also, if you like "Old School" then some of Ice Cube's earlier work is ok to listen to.

I'm a huge fan of AC/DC, Led Zeppelin and Def Leppard but Iv'e been looking around and are there any other particularly good blues/rock bands out there these days?

If you're looking for Rock bands who are still making music, I recommend Rise Against. Their most recent album was late last year. They have a bit of a different sound then the ones you mentioned above, but it is rock and I think you would enjoy it. I suggest Savior or Bridges as good first songs to listen too.

I like techno music, but I hate dub-step, I'm also in need of a new band that falls into that category. Vocals or not, they don't even have to be English, just some mellow techno music is what I'm asking for.
