This is going to be an ultimate question for me, not going to lie.

Ever since I was little, Microsoft Office was by far the best of its kind, in terms of users being able to create and save their own document types. Microsoft Word and Wordpad revolutionized word documents, Excel created digital spreadsheets with seemingly limitless tools, and eventually PowerPoint gave us a way to present things for school. Microsoft Office is the original, and continues to better itself; OneDrive allows storage of documents online for access anywhere, OneNote is similar to a digital binder, and we're expecting great things from Windows 10.

Google, however, has picked up some serious momentum with the release of Google Drive. Spreadsheets, Slides presentations, Docs, and folders to store them all in, online. The biggest incentives are arguably 15 gigabytes of free data, a free email, connectivity to YouTube, a social media site, and... Collaborative work online with friends and co-workers at any time of the day. I've been using Google Drive more than ever, and Microsoft Office is having its day end for me.

How about you? Which do you prefer to use and why?

I feel that Microsoft office has a more intelligent word and grammar check. Google Docs constantly misses important things I've overlooked that Word can pick up. On the other hand, it's been very handy for classes where I need y paper to read in class, but don't necessarily need to print it. I just pull it up on docs, and I have it anywhere. So there are definitely pros and cons

Drive is love. Drive is life.

True, Microsoft has a lot more settings, but Drive allows me to access my stuff all the time. Plus: I find the fact that you can work together in one document very convenient.
I won't use Word anymore, the software I grew up with. I find Drive so much better now.
Not to forget that you can store your files in the cloud, too. The memory of my computer is saved, and I can still access my files everywhere! Just great ^^

I think both have their own advantages. As you said in the opening statement, Google Drive is able to be shared with multiple people. I'm using Google Forms at the moment to conduct a survey and it works quite well. However, I prefer the Microsoft programs over it in terms of personal work as it is more user friendly and you can do a lot more with it easier.

I use google drive more, considering it's free as well as incredibly convenient. It does have its limits, but is just so accessible with the fact that you can use it on different mobile platforms such as a laptop or a phone. It also saves automatically, something that's not only time saving but incredibility useful when your computer decides to shut down on its own. It even has the capability to have others work and comment on it all at the same time. It even can convert the files into word files as well! Google Drive is incredible and I love it.

I'm too adjusted to Microsoft Office and have continued to use it despite the growing popularity of Google Drive. In fact I don't even know how the latter works since I've only used it briefly once or twice, whereas the Microsoft programs are embedded into me. But since I'm on a Mac I use Pages now. :')

I prefer Google Drive slightly more than Microsoft Office, mostly because I can access my Google Docs from any computer and they're much more easily shared.

Yeah, honestly the collaborative element of Google Drive is too hard to pass up. I love it so much, and I can't imagine going back to use only Microsoft Office.

However, I will say it's easier to print from Microsoft Office.

I prefer word. I don't like having programs running in a browser. Call it just uncomfortable if you want, but that's just how I'm used to operating computers. :P

I've used both Microsoft & Google accounts for years but haven't really tapped into either's online tools. To be honest I'm not sure how some of it works exactly. I even have an Office 365 account, and have yet to work out how to synchronise stuff. (If it can even be done). Yup, when it comes to these services, I can genuinely say that I'm a bit clueless.
