The title says it, essentially. What piece of technology invented by humans do you think is the greatest and/or most brilliant? What makes you think so? Are there any other technological advancements that are worth mentioning?

Mine is a little bit broad and basic, but I still think that the greatest technological achievement is the gaining of the ability to use electricity. Electricity powers so many things that have become a part of our day to day activities. Lights, phones, computers, televisions, kitchen appliances, etc. It has made a massive difference in how human beings function as a whole. We can function through times with no sunlight, we can instantly communicate with people across the world, and not to mention being able to travel around the world in an astonishingly short amount of time. Nothing beats everything it has done, in my opinion.

I definitely think the greatest technological achievement was the creation of the internet. It amazes me that the world is so connected by something that is difficult to explain. You could create content to the internet and someone on the other side of the planet could have access to see it. It has so much information accessible and nothing really disappears. Within seconds, information is transferred to your very fingertips. The internet isn't at all tangible, yet we use it everyday to communicate. Sometimes, I can't fathom how it came to be. How did someone build the internet out of what seems like nothing? Ah, it's absolutely amazing. Of course, there are so many things that helped innovate it. The evolution of communication is incredible.
