1x1 Guardian Rangers (Link x Might)

"Gravé met, that's mean," Nate muttered, before hearing Taz's question and a certain weapon the whitehead hasn't heard about. "Eh?! You has ammunitions like those? Ké aste, I want to see 'em! Did they make those explosions from earlier!? How big was the blast?" he asked, looking at the two very eagerly.

 

-Lieutenant Elric-

Upon hearing Hera's question he responds "My unit was the only one that engaged with the Terma once it has breached the walls." He paused to collect his thoughts and make sure what he is saying is not sensitive information. "Our unit was one of four deployed against the Terma. Alert Unit 1 is unable to fight effectively, out of 24 men only 10 were alive when medics showed up, my unit: Alert Unit 2 is at half strength most men being wounded, Alert Unit 3 and 4 are untouched." His voice changed to frustration "AND THEN between all four units, there was only ONE MECH AND ITS RIGHT THERE." Lieutenant Elric said as he points to Lighting Fist.

-Taz-

Hearing the Lieutenant speak he sighed and replied: "Sir now that I have more data on what the Termas are capable of I can make improvements to the Lighting Fist." Taz paused knowing what he is going to say next is going to frustrate him. "It will take me at least a few weeks to make the improvements and get her back up and running."

 

Raising his hands due to the girl pointing a gun at him and listening to the newly-arrived lieutenant after, Nate nodded to himself as he came to a conclusion. "Haj, you're all weird and crazy!" he declared shamelessly, jumping towards a nearby boulder and sitting on it. "Heh, this is why I never joined the military, soldiers are so mean..." he thought aloud, placing his hands behind his back as his trenchcoat rustled in the wind.

 

-Taz-

Taz spoke to answer Nate "We are mean and crazy? Really? The crazy part I understand but mean? We just got through risking our necks going out to escort a plane back here to 'safety' then when the Terma broke in it was us who went in to kill the monster and to top it all off we are searching for survivors and trying to rescue as many as possible that is just our unit today. So crazy: yes we are. Mean: no, not at all."

-Lieutenant Elric-

Lieutenant spoke to answer Hera: "First of all we still have two platoons to protect the city in case anything else shows up. Second, the locator bots are still searching for survivors it will still be a couple of minutes before their search is done. Third," he lowers his voice so that only Hera can hear "That mech was not a part of any government program to deal with the Terma threat, Taz built the mech to deal with the average size Terma, not the giant one that we fought earlier today."

 

"Endé, I didn't mean it like that," Nate replied quickly, waving his hands in denial. "Yes, you guys are great at your job and all, saving the lives of people and defending the city yadda yadda, but you guys are always so strict and shout a lot, don't deny," the whitehead added, crossing his arms. "I'm more of a freeloader, and I don't easily conform to standards like most people, which is why I was kicked out of military training the first day~" he remarked, smiling wistfully as he remembered that one day of hell. Well it was hell to the officers, heehee...

 

-Lieutenant Elric-

The computer beeps behind him, he turns to see that the locator bots are done with their search. "DAMNIT," he shouts he turns to Taz, "Taz two bodies both dead in the rubble you can move the leg now." He stops to sit down on the back of the flatbed where the Lighting Fist was already loaded and he looks toward the sky feeling frustrated.

-Taz-

"Well, Nate you did well for an untrained volunteer." Taz sits down for a minute for some reason his head starts to ache, the pain is slight but noticeable. He feels his head for blood but there is none. "Hera just for your records, there is supposed to be a defensive shield around the city preventing the Terma from getting to the wall. As a matter of fact, I actually finished boot camp just a month before they announced it to the army at the time one of my proposed changes was to allow sections of the wall to be raised and lowered independently of one another that way civilian traffic can still flow through the city while at the same time keep the Terma from entering the city but they told me that it would be too complicated and expensive to implement before they started construction." Taz pauses to gather his thoughts then he realizes that he is being a bit rude. "Oh, I am sorry for your loss. I too lost my father but the weird thing about it was they never returned to us the body." He laughs for a second "One would think they would be able to find the body of a scientist after a lab explosion."

 

"Maybe the body disintegrated or corroded or something," Nate remarked, having climbed down from the piece of debris he sat on as he heard the other soldier give out the negative. "My parents, hmmm... I've never met them, been living with a couple of my friends since apparently both of them were stabbed and shot dead," he said, before turning back and flashing a grin. "But that's all in the past, no~? No point in dwelling on it, when we should be looking towards the future!" the whitehead exclaimed, laughing as he ran towards the debris field where the robotic leg was stuck under. Doing a little parkour, Nate jumped towards the metal beam he stood on not too long ago, before shoving a large stone which collapsed and caused a chain reaction that freed said beam which had been pinning the contraption down. "Jahan, just lift this and your mecha leg will be freed~!" he declared, somehow managing to keep his balance.

 

-Taz-

Taz looks at Nate then pieces together what he is doing. "Hey Nate I agree with her you're going to fall then I am going to check to see if your ok, then I will laugh." Chuckling he went to grab the heavy-lift gear and attached some steel cable directly to the mech leg. He turns back to the Lieutenant "Cable secure, we are ready to go on this end," he says.

"Alright people clear away from the leg we are going to move it," Lieutenant Elric ordered.
Taz came up and asked, "Are the locator bots back in their cases?"
"They are," the Lieutenant replied.
"Thank you, sir," Taz replied he checks the systems on the heavy-lift gear "all set and ready to go" he turns back to the Lieutenant "want to do the honors."
"With pleasure," as he moved to the control panel Lieutenant Elric yells "CLEAR CLEAR CLEAR" then the motors wind up as the tension in the cable increases and within a few minutes, the leg was freed.

The moment the leg was freed, Taz ran up to it to see what happened the leg had a steel beam impaled through it and the leg was pinched, the outer armor will have to be replaced but the internal workings of the lower leg and foot could still work, in theory.

 

"Aste, that is a cool-looking suit!" Nate grinned as he jumped down from the beam he was on. "Quéteam? I didn't fall~!" he jibed, before giving the mecha leg a once over, admiring the piece of machinery. "Sogé, looks like 'ya did a lot of work on this, no? I can tell 'ya spent a lot of time refining it," the whitehead remarked, before moving back to give some space for the robot limb to be moved.

 

-Taz-

"Yes sir" Taz and Lieutenant Elric said at the same time then saluted then went straight to work. It did not take long for the leg to get loaded onto the flatbed and strapped down. "Driver," Lieutenant Elric said "take this mech and unload it at the base, Alert Unit 2 hangar is what you are looking for and" he reaches into his pocket to get him a pass into the base "show this to the guard they should let you in with this."
The driver looked at the pass and put it in his shirt pocket and said "Aight," then he drove off.

 

"Téca, who's that?" Nate whispered (or at least tried to whisper) to Hera, noting how the man seemed to have an air of authority around him. His aura also felt like said girl's, and the way he twirled his gun reminded him very much of his companion. Potjé, another crazy man? he grimaced, before noticing that his Ruigg had charged enough for one transport. Nodding, the whitehead decided he would see where things go before he teleports himself (and hopefully the girl too) out of here.

 

-Taz-

Taz gets on the radio he turns the dial to the frequency of the Alert Unit 2 hangar, "Lighting Fist tech team are you there, over."
"We read you loud and clear, over," the team leader responded.
"I need yall to start repair work on Lighting Fist as soon as it gets there but just remove the damaged parts and have Vulcan start analyzing the footage in the hard drive. If I am not there by the time yall are done start putting your heads together for improvements with the focus being on the energy rifle and arm cannon, over."
"Yes sir, I will see what we can do, over."
"Thank you over and out." Taz puts up the radio and he starts walking toward Maxwell.

-Lieutenant Elric-

"Sir, I thank you for the praise but I don't think we did that well, half of my unit is injured and Alert Unit 1 is effectively annihilated."

 

-Taz-

Taz was awestruck when hearing that the Termas could get big and powerful enough to decimate a continent and even warp matter at its will. He thought to himself 'we need to get a force together to actively hunt down Terma and continually thin their numbers to prevent anything getting bigger than a level eight if we had this much trouble with a level seven' but he quickly regained his composure. He answered Hera's question "Lighting Fist is repairable but it will take a while but while it's down I plan to make a number of improvements." Taz stops a moment to think, "So, it might take me at least one to two weeks to get her repaired."
