    Many remakes switch up some of the Gym Leaders, so it's not too Farfetch'd to think LGPE would do the same. Which Gym Leaders would you like to see change, and do you have any potential candidates for who could replace them?

    I would love it if Koga was the gym leader again instead of Janine. I don't think I want any of the gym leaders to be replaced exactly, but it would be really cool if they all got more development and were integrated more into the story like some of the later generation gym leaders were.

    ooooh like in Gen V, where all the Gym Leaders (except for Iris) actually had an out-of-gym occupation? I'd love that! It really helped to make the gym leaders feel more like real people.

    Now that I think about it, a bunch of the gym leaders in the first generation did have an occupation outside of being a gym leader. Most of them weren't specifically brought up, but heavily implied. Lt. Surge was a soldier, and he seems a little young to be retired. Erika had a greenhouse that she took care of (though this might just be in the anime, I'm not sure). I've always thought of Blaine as a scientist, though, again, I'm not sure if this was actually in the games. And we all know that Giovanni is a mob boss.

    What would be really cool to see would be Koga as a gym leader and then we see him decide to join the Elite Four instead, like he does in Gold and Silver. I want to see his reasons behind doing that.

    Whatever happens, I really hope to see both Koga and Janine in the games. Also, what happened to Blaine again in the Johto games? Didn't he lose everything and go back to some kind of cave after Cinnabar got buried under a volcano... That would be both cool and sad to see, haha

    I doubt their going to really make any changes. In fact, I think Emerald was the only remake to actually change a Gym Leader.

    Kanto's gym leaders had a bunch of differences between gen 1 and 2, and Black and White 2 had an almost completely different cast of Gym Leaders. It's not too out there to thing there'd be some differences.

    Considering they seem to kinda be going for the nostalgia feeling for older players with Let's Go I doubt they'll change anything. Since they've revealed Lt. Surge I'm fairly certain the rest of the leaders are probably the same too. At most they might replace Koga with Janine even if I don't really see a reason for them to do that really but it would make kinda sense I guess since she's a leader in Gen 2.

    Only 2 gym leaders in Kanto changed from Gen 1 to Gen 2, Janine instead of Koga and Blue instead of Giovanni that's not really what I would call a bunch of differences. BW2 had 3 new gym leaders, I think the order was even slightly altered in BW2 so Drayden was not the 8th gym leader anymore.

    Those were sequels, not remakes. Emerald is the only actual remake to change a Gym Leader.
