Since the release of the Hidden Ability Johto Starters yesterday, where do you think Smogon is going to put Typhlosion, Meganium and Feraligatr in tiers. My guess is Feraligatr and Typhlosion go to UU while Meganium goes to RU.

Though their HAs are more useful than their standard abilities, they still aren't amazing enough to put them into the OP range. I wish it were the opposite, but I don't see much use for them in higher tier plays. Meganium and Typhlosion would be RU imo while Feraligatr is UU.

Feraligatr miiggghhttt be higher than UU because of Sheer Force. Waterfall + Scald procing is kinda OP and scary if he outspeeds. I like using Feraligatr too, I've used him in a ton of my teams and he can pack a punch, though usually I see more of his damage coming from Torrent. But still, I predict UU.

I'd like to see Feraligatr get bumped up a tier if not two (crazy, I know). Sheer Force really is a force to be reckoned with. I haven't yet tested out the other Johto starters using their hidden moves, but I see Typhlosion moving up a tier as well.

I dont think Meganium is going anywhere, which is sad...

Typhlosion will prolly go up to RU, as I can see some use from it.

At the very least, Feraligatr will become UU, as Sheer Force is crazy good on Feraligatr.

Honestly, I don't see Feraligatr going any higher than RU-- considering we've got both Cloyster and Kingdra up in UU, and both do a similar role just as well, if not better, due to their other benefits. Meganium with Leaf Guard (roflmao) isn't going anywhere. Literally. Still gonna be PU. Might as well run Overgrow over Leaf Guard anyways, might squeeze off a little more damage on a Giga Drain or something. Typhlosion still isn't a top-tier threat either, though with base 100 speed it still clocks in a little faster than most of the RU tier, and I suppose there are a few instances it could make use of Flash Fire.

Feraligatr - UU (quite possibly OU)
    Typhlosion - RU
    Meganium - NU

Feraligatr obviously benefits the most with his HA, especially since it can be coupled with Life Orb and will receive no recoil from moves like Waterfall, Ice Punch, Crunch etc. On top of that, it gets Dragon Dance.

Typhlosion is now immune to other Fire types. This does very little for it, it's not quite at the level Heatran is.

Meganium's HA would've been about 10 times more useful if perma-weather stuck around. In Gen V and prior, I'd see it as UU, but as of the weather nerf, it will forever be NU.
