Do you use hacked Pokémon, or legit? Or a mix of both?

I have hacked Pokémon, back in gen five. It was cool, but I tend to prefer legit seeming ones, it was just an easy way to get some hard to find or shiny ones. In the end though I didn't even try to migrate them, and recently deleted most of them because they aren't as satisfying. Now I've almost finished me national dex again, and every single one of them is legit.

I prefer legit Pokémon as well. Hacked Pokémon are usually legendary Pokémon people have just for shoe, but nobody ever used them. There just to say that you did it. Now, I used to hack Pokémon games, but it really takes the fun out of it so easily, that I stopped playing those hacked games, and started fresh.

When it comes to hacking it honestly depends on what you are hacking and what your goal is when hacking. If you're hacking for the sake of collecting legendaries, or getting event Pokémon you missed out on, fair enough, as long as the stats and moves are still legal go for it. Now when it comes to hacking for competitive play (VGC) there tends to be a big backlash on whether hacking is wrong in terms of creating a Pokémon and then using it at an official event. Here's the thing people tend to forget. When a person gens a Pokémon for competitive Play, those Pokémon do not have any form of any actual advantage in these tournaments. What i mean by this is the Pokémon cannot get past the check system if their stats are tampered with, if their location is false, or if they have a move they can't normally learn. Things like Pokeballs tend to slide because of the fact that the Pokeballs do not affect the actual Pokémon. When you used a hacked/tampered Pokémon, the only advantage you have over players, is faster breeding and team building. Otherwise in no way does a hacked Pokémon affect the outcome of the battle, because even if you had a legit Pokémon bred the same exact way as the hacked Pokémon, the outcome will still be pretty much the same. For me, I honestly tend to not hack even when i have the power to do so. On occasion i might do something, but usually that's when I feel like giving someone a shiny Pokémon or a rare Pokémon for them to have in their collection or game. Hacking in Pokémon is not like before, it's not as easy to get past the check system when it comes to tampered moves and stats. Even if you did take one and got past the check in an official tournament, it's common sense your gonna get caught and figured out, thus being disqualified. Back for the Nintendo DS games, hacking was more of a thing to do at the end game, when you really had nothing else better to do, and sometimes hacking can be really fun. I do want to go back on what @[member="AzureEdge"] said, about how hacking can take the fun out of the game. In many cases I agree. Right now i have the power to hack, but the fact it's so easy to get any Pokémon just kind of bores you after 2-3 hacks, what's worse is every time you come across that Pokémon, you know it's hacked and it sometimes make me feel guilty. In all honesty hacking Pokémon today wasn't like hacking Pokémon before X and Y, hacking back then was in fact a bigger deal than it is today. That is what I have to say on this matter. :D

Hmm. Well, I use hacked Pokémon legitimately. What I mean by that is that I only use hacks to skip over the IV breeding and EV training pains when I'm struggling to get it done the normal way. I don't create unfairly powerful Pokémon, I just use hacks as a tool to shorten the grinding process and get into the actual gameplay faster.

I'm all for legal hacking, meaning it's okay to hack Pokémon if they're still within their allowed stats, abilities, moves etc. and whatnot.

If a Pokémon has something it's not supposed to have (e.g. a Shedinja with the ability Sturdy), I'm against that because that actually is cheating. This, of course, only applies if you were to fight someone online in a battle. In-game against NPCs, I couldn't care less how hacked your Pokémon are.

The way I see it is, if it's kept within reasonable bounds, and you don't cheat with them, it's fine. I suppose that ruins the point of it for some people, though.

I don't use any hacked Pokémon because tbh I can't be bothered to take the time to do it. It's a hassle.

I used to have fun making really ridiculous hacked Pokémon, but I never used them in battles and such.

I hacked the occasional legendary or two for competitive, but that's just about it. I preferred to do it normally most of time.

But yeah, hacking is alright as long as you don't bring your crap online.

Legal hacked Pokémon, I don't mind them. Pokémon that have moves they can't learn or stats higher than they should be on the other hand, nope a thousand times nope that is not okay. The Pokémon much appear legal so nothing out of the ordinary allowed. I have one genned myself and I use it whenever I please since is a legal hacked one, all the way down to the poké ball it's in.

Of course this is my stand if you fight real people, if you beat up NPCs hack your Pokémon to your hearts content, I've even done that and it can be hilarious.

I'm apart of a League(which is my other site I go to) and they do no hacking. After being with them for years, I've gotten used to the custom and think of hacking as a really no fun type of thing. I mean sure people will probably use it so they can breed certain things, but it's still hacking in it's own lol. I like doing hard work over hacking, but I do more of an RNG in 5th gen which isn't fully hacking, if not at all.

Personaly, I don't care either way. All of my in-game competive Pokémon are all legal and able to be bred and got in-game, but it just saved me all the effort of EV training and such. So if someone wants to go spawn in a Pokémon to use of their team, sure, go ahead.

Illegal Pokémon hacking is fun as well. I rember once I showed my freind a Charizard who had surf and let him wonder how I did it. I have no problem with illegal hacked Pokémon, as long as they are only used in-game, and not in a competitive tournament.

I prefer legitimate Pokémon but don't mind if I use hacking tools to edit an existing Pokémon slightly, like changing its Hidden Power type or editing an IV stat from 28 to 31. Creating Pokémon with hacking tools altogether I am totally against and probably would never want to own but when it comes to hatching thousands of eggs trying to get a shiny of a certain gender and constantly getting the opposite gender, it doesn't upset me to speed up the process a bit by cheating. No worries!

I don't used hacked Pokémon because I don't really have a reason to. I gave a friend's action replay a spin back when I was 11 and it was cool to find shiny Blastoises whenever I wanted, but it wasn't as fun as finding and raising them legitimately.
With regards to other people hacking, I don't really have much of an opinion. If they want to then more power to them, haha

If the Pokémon they're getting in are legit, then what do I care. But I don't want to see stuff like Wonder Guard on stuff that shouldn't have it.

This is something I only learned of recently and I don't really mind it, as long as someone doesn't use their hack to like beat everyone in competitive battles. If you battle me with a hack I'll likely be like :\ at you.

Eeehhh. I only hack Pokémon if it's for breeding or for run-throughs of older games. The pokegenned Pokémon I got in OR are strictly for breeding purposes. I will never use them in Wifi battles because it is kinda unfair.

I will admit I have pokegenned several level 100 ralts with the synchronize ability so I can get wild Pokémon with the right natures.

I personally don't hack, but I don't really have a problem with those who do, as long as they don't lie about it to try and get something out of it. If you hack for your own personal enjoyment, or just because you don't have the time to breed perfect IV'd Pokémon with the right moveset, then that's fine. I just don't like people trading said hacked Pokémon and talking them up like they were legit.

I'm perfectly fine with it and have done it myself; though, there's not much point in hacking for shinies, unless you just like the aesthetic. People can play the game however they want - I won't stop them!

I prefer legit Pokémon, but I have nothing against hacked ones, and will use some if the need arises haha. As long as they're 'legit' hacked 'mons, I don't care. If they have moves they can learn normally and aren't physically too powerful than they should be I don't mind at all.
