Hardest Gym Leader?

I didn't remember having much trouble with any particular Gym Leader, until I recently started playing HeartGold and I was not able to beat Morty, I don't know why, I just couldn't beat him

 

If anyone dares to only mention Whitney's Miltank, I'll come to your house and murder you...

Seriously though, I remember having quite some trouble with Norman, and his Slaking. That thing was a powerhouse, and can provide a lot of trouble if you go in unprepared.

 

Whitney and her miltank was the hardest gym lol jk. For me Wallace was the most difficult gym leader I faced so far.

 

I never really had too many difficulties against gym leaders because I tended to overgrind my team in advance, but if I could name at least one gym leader that was the hardest to me I'd have to go with Clair. Mainly because her Kingdra was so bulky! Having only one weakness to dragon (since fairy didn't exist and not to mention dragon types weren't available until after beating her), it could take also hits, lower accuracy with smokescreen, and get some serious para hax with dragonbreath. Not to mention she tends to spam heals. Getting through her dragonairs would also be a pain if you didn't have a good team or a high level ice type or a bulky Pokémon with an ice type move. Overall, I have to say Clair is probably the hardest gym leader I've battled, because even with an overgrinded team, she still posed a great challenge.

 

Some may already know but Clay and his lvl 33 excadrill in BW2 for me....idk how but by the time I got there my pets were all 6-10 lvls below him and he was just annihilating me with OHKOs left right and center. The amount of grinding I had to do... :/

 

I'd say Tate and Liza from RSE are the toughest ones.

Is it bad to say the HARDEST gym leader isn't a gym leader but an elite four champion? god damn Lance and his hack dragonites made me mad rage quick so many times it wasn't even funny..

 

For me, it was Clay with his excadrill. That stupid thing made me spend another two hours murdering wild Pokémon before I could finally beat him.

 

I don't remember much of the older gen gym leaders giving me trouble either to be honest. It was mostly when I got to the elite four and champion. I always grind to be 5-10 levels higher than my opponents so I'm usually prepared. That and having more than one type advantage since I don't use just 6 Pokémon. I train whatever Pokémon I want/like lol.

 

I don't actually remember having trouble I guess for me it was Brock in yellow. That Onix knocked out everyone my little Nidoran was just barley able to beat it

 

I think this question has a very definite answer for most people. Whitney and her freaking Stomping Rollout-ing Milk Drinking MILTANK. -___-

 

I never really had much trouble with gym leaders. Though Elesa and her Volt Switches were rather annoying.

 

Tate and Liza in emerald. I always use Sceptile so that freaking Xatu always killed me.

 

Tate and Liz. They're Pokémon combos were very synced and it took out a lot of my Pokémon. They screwed my team up.

 

When I was younger I remember struggling with Sabrina when I was younger other than that sometimes the first and sometimes the second can be kind of difficult to start off.

 

Tate and Liza the two of them together are imposible to beat, it takes time to beat both of them :c.
And then there is Winona which is kinda challenging to beat.

 

I had the absolute hardest time against Sabrina when I first began playing Pokémon on Leafgreen.
