Stuff breaks. It happens. Whether down to overuse, human error, accidental damage and/or sheer bad luck, technology can call time on us and cease to function at any given moment, occasionally with little warning. We'll kick up, voice our lamentations, but ultimately, we'll move on and see if anything can be done to repair our faulty tech.

Have you ever experienced any 'bad luck' involving a piece of tech not working when you need it to? Share all, here!

Three of my devices have had this happen to them (and it always feels like they are doing it in jealousy of my new devices).

My PS2 and my Wii both stopped reading discs for some reason. It happened both times a month or two after getting a new console, The PS2 after getting the Wii (RIP my Ratchet and Clank games...) and my Wii a few months after getting a Wii U (RIP FE: Radiant Dawn)...

My IPod Touch just... stopped working after having not use it for a month or two. I turned it off once and didn't touch it for a long time. When I decided to use it again, I made sure to put it on a charger, but it turned on and withing a few minutes turned itself off while I was using it. The battery wasn't flat, because i could instantly turn it back on...

I had both my GameCube and Wii have disc reading issues at some point. Don't remember much about the GameCube, but it cost me $80 to ship my Wii in to have it repaired (this was mid-2010, if I remember). Luckily though, they offered a free replacement if they couldn't resolve the issue. Needless to say, I got it back and I was a happy camper.
