    Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley is another installment in the Harvest Moon series, taking a different route and including a few minecraft-like mechanics. This inclusion, as well as the very different graphics style, has resulted in quite a few poor reviews. From my perspective, unfairly poor reviews.

    I excitedly bought the game yesterday, the game's EU release date, and so far I'm really enjoying it. I've cleared through the spring season in pretty much a single sitting, which I very rarely manage with Harvest Moon games. Being able to change the environment is a bunch of fun, and I've thought up quite a few interesting ways to organise my crops. I can't wait until I get access to more materials!

    So far the only thing I'm not so keen on is villager interactions, and the cut in number of marriage candidates. The other characters can only be spoken to for a certain amount of time on limited days, which is a pain. Only having 3 options for marriage candidates is a bit disappointing too, considering there're usually 6 available. [April is a cutie, but ofc there's still no available same sex marriage </3]

    What about you guys? Do you have the game or not, and if so what's your take on it? Anything you particularly like or dislike about the game? Are you disappointed overall, or are you enjoying the game too?

    also please tell me the eu release date for story of seasons if you hear anything cRI </3

    This is probably the only Harvest Moon game I don't own, as I was worried it wouldn't be good because of the Minecraft aspect of it and how the characters looked almost too childlike. But. . Since you seem to enjoy it, I might purchase it tomorrow! I've got a 6 hour car ride coming up, and this might be fun.

    Being able to organize/edit the world's landscape DOES sound pretty fun. (I know you can place houses in A New Beginning, but you can't really alter the landscape layout.) I can imagine this would be a game someone could play for a long time if they were trying to get a "perfect" layout!

    As for marriage candidates, holy crap, I didn't realize there were so few. But I suppose that just makes selection easier, eh? I'm currently looking on Fogu right now, and it doesn't say anything about children. Can you have children in this game?

    If I head over to gamestop tomorrow, I'll probably pick this game up. . :)

    Here's the page on fogu about kiddies! I read the title for the sleeping sickness aspect and panickeD I THOUGH ME KID COULD DIE
    i m a gin e the ho rr o r </3

    Let me tell you man, the stamina of your character is unreal in this game. I cleared, tilled, sowed and watered 99 spinach seeds and I was still totally fine hot danggg, I can hardly blink in sunshine islands without losing half of my hearts
    I'm thinking of going with Gilbert but I honestly have no idea;; I was hoping there might be surprise bachelors later into the game that hadn't been written about on fogu yet but it doesn't seem too likely ; 7 ;

    I hope you enjoy it if you do pick it up! Having so much stamina and so much usable land tricks you into planting a lot and ending up with eternal water lmao, that should be a good way to pass the 6 hours :' )

    @[member="Magpaeonia"], omgg, so much stamina is so nice!! I have to eat multiple times a day in Story of Seasons to water all of my crops and stuff. Sunshine islands. . I haven't played that game in so long, oh my gosh. I don't even know if I got married in that game or not.

    Anyways, I really like how much you can interact with the baby-stage of your child in this game omg. Like, you get to feed it in and stuff!! I don't really like children irl, but I love being able to do little things with them in games, like feed them. Has any other HM game been this interactive? I thinkk you had to feed the babies in Magical Melody, but I'm not sure. I know they'd cry if you neglected them.

    But ye I'm heading to gamestop today to sell some games, I'll definitely check this game out if they have it B)
