    Hello there, members of Lake Valor! I'm The Cynical Poet, though despite my name I'm not all that cynical, unless the situation calls for a proper critique. I'm not all that familiar with regular forum activity, though I've always wanted to be an active member of a forum. For those of you who frequent Smogon, you might recognize me from the XY Sprite Project , as I've contributed several Black/White styled sprites for Pokémon Showdown's XY/ORAS engine.

    Aside from Smogon, I've submitted other works to my personal DeviantArt page, as well as Mario Fan Games Galaxy. I've been a Pokémon fan ever since I was a child - probably around four years old. Aside from my Pokémon/Nintendo fandom, I'm currently in college aspiring to become a Biology/Ecology teacher. I bring this up because my love for biology stems from my love for learning and understanding biological evolution, which originated from, you guessed it, my love for Pokémon! So yeah, should all go as planned, I'll eventually become a nerdy biology teacher who will make obscure references to video games.

    Anyways, that should just about cover my short little autobiography. Special thanks to LVAchromatic for introducing me to Lake Valor!

    That's the plan thus far, haha. I've always loved looking at Pokémon from a more scientifically rooted standpoint, despite it ultimately being obscure and nonsensical at times. It's fun looking at Pokémon and seeing the connections and inspiration derived from real life creatures and possibly seeing how Pokémon could have evolved that way. :D

    Haha, thank you! Ever since I was introduced to the internet, I've always loved spriting. Of course, back in those days my idea of spriting was recoloring a Sonic sprite and calling him an unoriginal name...but we don't speak of those times.

    Thanks a bunch! I'll always make obscure video game references; that's practically part of the reason I was born!

    Okay, talking about Lake Valor mmm, there are too much things to do, also we have contestes that you will like where you have to draw or show some of your talents, it is pretty interesting here. A useful info could be that If you ever need something you can talk with the staff members or the site mentors.
