One suggestion that I sometimes find works, both to slowly introduce yourself to be known and so that you may know others as well, is the Question & Answer section, where you ask members various questions about themselves, and in turn are asked by others yourselves. It may seem like a small thing, but all of those little factoids will build up to help build a composite picture. The Discord chat does work for immediate feedback, but if you don't find chatrooms to be your thing (that's perfectly understandable), you can garner your information in other, quieter ways.

In regards to your hobbies about writing, games, or movies, we have sections for those too (click each word in that to be directed to that forum). Other than that, Wizard hit all of the points I was going to hit (you rascally thief), so I wish you nothing but the best during your stay here.
