Hello, everyone! My name is ShinyDewott and I'm 17 years old. I've lurked here a couple of times over the past few years but I've never actually fully engaged in conversations and discussions here. I have to be honest, I'm not sure why, but I've finally decided that today's the day I do so, so here I am! Pokémon has been a part of me for as long as I can remember. I've been a fan of the franchise for over 10 years and I still love it as much as I did when I played my first game (Ruby version <3). I also love books. Like, loooove them. I love reading ever since I moved to Australia last year. Since then they've also been a big part of me. I love meeting and making new friends, so let's be friends!
Getting some weird déjà vu here, like I've seen someone from a few months back with a username very similar to yours. But perhaps I'm imagining that. You only just registered, after all. What sorts of books do you like reading? The world of literature is both vast and deep, and there's no shortage of selection. Do let me know if you have any questions about Lake Valor or the things therein.
@Eclipse Admittedly, I've always wanted a username with the word Shiny and a Pokémon in it despite its commonness. It just seems cool to me, hehe. @An Evil Wizard I'm mostly interested in Classic Literature. There's just something so special about them, and they get recommended to me a lot. My favourites include To Kill a Mockingbird, A Clockwork Orange, and Of Mice and Men. Also interested in Children's Literature, but I think it's mostly because they're very understandable, beautifully told, and provide great morals. Oh! And I agree, Dewotts are awesome (and pretty underrated!!). @Arc1Dragon Thank you! I already have a feeling I'm going to enjoy this forum.
Ooh another Australian, welcome! I hope you're finding your way around alright, the place is pretty big See ya around!
Welcome to LV! Hope you enjoy your time here. I love books as well, though given how hectic my life is I've barely had time to sit down and read much... To Kill a Mockingbird is probably my favourite piece from classic American literature; great movie, too.
@ShinigamiMiroku Thank you! I have yet to watch its movie adaptation but I've been meaning to! It seems to have received great reviews and I've heard that it's pretty faithful to the book as well.
It is - in fact, it's probably one of the few movies to remain faithful to its source material. Gregory Peck (may he rest in peace) puts in an unforgettable performance as the lawyer, Atticus Finch.
Welcome to lake valor Dewott. I hope youll enjoy your time here. P.S: Oshawott was one of my favorite starters.
Hi there. Welcome to Lake Valor. Please message me if you need help with anything or just want to chat. I'm a pretty easygoing guy. See ya around
