I think they both have really cool designs are are fun to use in battle. When I first saw Alolan Raichu, I thought it was adorable! It ended up being a super fast and strong special attacker for my team. @Dwlr Definitely American pancakes! They're my favorite breakfast food! (Though, you could really eat them at any time of the day.)

The sadness, she is real. I prefer the og pancakes to the American variant, the American has a certain sponginess I'm not particularly fond of like a cross between an authentic pancake and flan, not my favorite texture or taste. Johnny Cakes are too gritty for my tastes and Waffles taste burnt to me. :/
@Junkrat Thank you! I actually ended up finding Lake Valor as I was looking for a forum to talk about Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, which I haven't gotten around to playing just yet. In my free time, I enjoy writing, photography, and exercise. I'm also involved with two different theater groups on my college campus. @❀Bloom❀ Thanks so much! Johnny cakes are basically a hybrid of cornbread and pancakes they're pretty popular in the south, but like corn bread the corn meal doesn't render all the way so you're left with cracked corn throughout the cake which IMO just makes it gritty, it also makes it heavier than a regular pancake and while some might find it worth it for the change in flavor profile I can't get past the mouthfeel not to mention being more dense means your assorted toppings tend to get lost so if you're somebody that prefers dry or simply buttered pancakes you may like johnny cakes, but if you like some sort of syrup or fruit it doesn't mesh too well if you ask me.
