Help me build my Pokemon mini-game! :D

okay, so this summer i've decided to take on the task of learning html/css/javascript-- more importantly javascript. currently, i am reading a book that teaches you javascript, and tbh, it gets kind of boring just reading and reading and reading... so i've decided that to make things more fun and pleasing, i will be building a web-browser, Pokémon mini-game as i read across every chapter of this book.

so far i've built this quick sketch of what i want my game to be. but NOW, i want to get everyone's output! give me suggestions and i will try to implement your ideas(mechanics, design, etc) into my minigame.

instructions:
1) go to link and click "Download" at the top to download the entire folder (don't mess with any of the locations of the files or the game won't work properly)
2) extract the file.
3) open up the file called "index.html" with Google Chrome! (make sure it's google chrome as i've not tested the game with any other web browser) you can try with firefox, but i am not sure if it will work properly.
4) play the mini game xD

i am aware the minigame might contain bugs, crappy layout, etc. this is only a rough draft. i will be working on this as i learn more. oh and yes, i know the minigame isn't exactly the most exciting thing ever! lmao

so yeah, please leave your suggestions or anything you might wanna see be implemented in game!

 

@[member="8542Madness"] - damn, that's strange. well if you have the file downloaded and extracted you should have a folder called "Pokémon Matchmaker." Inside of it, there should be a file called "index.html". if you right click it, select option called "open with" and you can select Google Chrome.

if that doesn't work, you can open up google chrome and try dragging the file onto the browser.
