It started this morning. I woke up, and was about to get my 3DS, when for some reason the touchscreen wasn't working. I HAVE dropped it, but not in months, and it was fine when I first got Pokémon ORAS(Nov 21. It was fine then.)

However, not even the Circle Pad works! The D-Pad doesn't work, L AND R don't work, and it just seems completely unstable. The square that's around what you're about to click was stuck around Miiverse. I didn't want to go to Miiverse, but when I left the 3DS there it just selected Miiverse with no input from me.

Also, I did get it to go to the camera, but it just kept snapping pictures even though I was pressing home.

It suddenly fixed itself, though, believe it or not. Just wanted to hear thoughts from other people, since this COULD be a frequent problem. I haven't played a game on it since Dec.1, when it was working, if that detail matters. I was like "whew, probably a bug."

I suggest taking it to the nearest game store (like gamestop, etc) and see what they can tell you. I don't know if there are any better ideas... :(

I have a question don't get angry please but Did you eat while you played in the 3DS?. Or maybe you played after clean your hands and perhaps moisture damage it. You have to be very careful when you play with these consoles because they are pretty sensibles :/

It may have been just a technical glitch. I've seen the 3DS do some weird things before.

Was a ghost playing it? Ha, I'm joking! Anyway, was there some sort of magnet or something near it? I've learned that electronic devices don't work with magnets around. Or, this may sound stupid, but, if there was a game in it before, did you take it out before going back to the home menu? Don't do it.
If I were you, I'd stop playing it and leave it off for a while, maybe about a week or so.
If that doesn't work, I'd take it to Game Stop or somewhere like that to get it looked at.
