No, this topic isn't about hair products. In the Pokémon games, there are certain herbs that can be used both inside and outside of battle. There are the medicinal herbs, such as Heal Powder, Energy Powder, Energy Root, and Revival Herb. These items aren't used competitively, but there are herbs that can offer a slight competitive edge. These are the herbs you can use inside of battle! They are the Mental Herb, Power Herb, and White Herb. The Mental Herb cures a Pokémon that has been infatuated, disabled, encored, heal blocked, taunted, or tormented upon activation. The Power Herb enables a Pokémon to use a two turn move, such as Fly or Geomancy, in one turn for a single use. Finally, the White Herb restores any lowered stat changes done upon activation. Have you used these Herbs before in battle? What combinations with Pokémon and Movesets do you use with them? Do these items have an effect in the metagame? How often do you see other players use these items?

I've only used the Power Herb in Ubers since I use Xerneas. It's extremely useful for Geomancy! I don't think the Mental Herb is all that useful since I would usually just switch out. I imagine it might be useful to certain Pokémon too, but I wouldn't know about it. I think the White Herb can be useful too for Pokémon who use Draco Meteor, Overheat, or other similar moves. I've never used it though, but I have seen it being used often on OU.

Well, white herb is quite useful to mons that are using shell smash or overheat or draco! But i have a long time to see that move! Power herb is quite useful to hawlucha, because it gets rid of its item and activates the Unburden ability! The mental herb is also used to only one pok! That is Shuckle! The reason is that shuckle is a hazard settler and a taunt ruins it badly! So mental herb is a common item on shuckle!

White Herb is my favorite, I use it mostly with the standard Cloyster set. Might use it on an Omastar too, but usually I just Sash those things.

Power herb is awesome with Xerneas' Geomancy move! I don't play Ubers like, at all, but it's a fun combo t use nevertheless.

As for others, it's not often I see other players use them. They're not as common as Berries, or other certain held items (Leftovers, Life Orb, Choice items etc).

Actually I do use them And See them Alot! , But With an Exception of the Mental Herb.

White herb : An Item Used With Shellsmash Sets Such As Carracosta[3D='565'] or as @[member="Nator"] and @[member="Martsian"] And @[member="Rafael"] Said Stat Lowering Moves And Cloyster Sets , To Further sustain Damage And Avoid Too much Priority Move Damage(Such as Bullet Punch or Mach Punch or Vacumm wave)

Power Herb : Used In Ubers With Xerneas[3D='716'] To Ensure a Immediate Geomancy Charge to boost 2x Spatk , Speed And SpD.

Can Also Be Used With Hawlucha[3D='701] With Unburden And the Move Sky attack To Deal Heavy Damage And Double Your Speed At the Same Time.

Mental Herb : I havent Seen nor Used This Item Much In the Metagame , For Its use isnt of big importance.

Attract : Can be Cured by the Mental Herb, But is rarely Used as a move in the Metagame due to random chances of Gender.

Heal block : Rarely used by Players Due to The Rarity of Pokémon capable of healing (or atleast Metagame Pokémon) And The rarity of Pokémon who can actually learn it , And thier use for that move in thier Respective set.

Encore , Taunt , Torment : Not rare at all, And Fitting in Many Staller sets , But Due to The fact that they last 3 turns and the Importance of the current Held item , Mental Herb is Used by Very Few.

Disable : Rare , And Somewhat Proclaimed As a "Waste of a Move" , But it is used in 1v1 Encore Disable Sets , And Sometimes to Stop Sweepers , Disable Is the only Move Ive be Stopped by the Mental Herb.

Again,Thats Only My Opinion i might though be Wrong About the Mental Herb , And it might one day Save me , But for now these are my Thoughts.

I've used a Mental Herb on Shuckle competitively. It's super useful for the hazard set, as it basically allows for a free Stealth Rocks or Sticky Web. But that's really the only set I've ever seen it on.

I've used Pokémon that have Power Herbs and White Herbs on them in ranbats. While it means they can get really powerful, it historically (or me) has ended in relative failure, at least for the Shell Smash + White Herb combos. But Power Herb Xerneas becomes a powerhouse for any non-Bullet Punch opponent. I see them every once in a while.
