So... This is my first time on any forum... I was sort of invited here by alohaalolan from fanfiction.net, and I just... signed up. Obviously, since I just said I came from fanfiction.net, I write fanfiction. I've somehow received overwhelming praise on it, so maybe check it out if you're interested? I've been playing Pokémon since I got Sapphire for my GBA. Since then, I've played through each generation, and a few of the spin-offs. My Pokémon knowledge and fandom extends mostly exclusively to the games; I'm not too into the anime or manga, and never played the TCG. But I think I make up for that with intense gaming passion. That sounded better in my head... My starters for each generation are Bulbasaur, Cyndaquil, Mudkip, Piplup, Snivy, Froakie, and Litten. My favorite Eeveelution is Umbreon, my favorite type is Dark closely followed by Dragon, and my Pokémon Mystery Dungeon spirit-animal is Cyndaquil. Um... I also like Metroid, Fire Emblem, Kingdom Hearts, and Undertale. Those probably are irrelevant here, but hey, the more you know. Hope to have a nice time here. -Jack
welcome to the forum! I also dislike the anime a little and haven't seen much past the first season, I think the majority of stuff discussed here is relevant to the games anyway :'D
Hey Sinzu, welcome to Lake Valor!! It is super awesome you joined up, you should post your stories here, in the Literature Library! I used to watch the anime but when the gen 5 anime came I stopped watching and only watched less than half of the XY anime and only read one of the manga series completely. Are you into competitive battling or just casual gameplay?

Apparently alohaalolan has been rather busy. What sort of fanfiction do you like to write, and what do people praise about it? Usually I see feedback on a piece of writing as a way to improve or at least know what your best spots are when writing - that way you know what you're good at (or bad at) and can react accordingly. And how long have you been at writing, if I may ask? From how you phrased it, it seems like you've been writing for some time.

I'm trying out competitive play; I've started experimenting more with egg moves and EVs, but I haven't had much experience with it yet. Weird... Apparently he got a bunch of people here. This is definitely going to be interesting. I've been writing for almost four years, but I didn't really start doing fanfiction until a few months ago. Sort of backwards, I know. Most of the stuff I write is character-focused. There's also some drama and a bit of action, but it's mostly character stuff. I've been told I'm good at... Actually, now that I think about it, I haven't gotten much praise for anything specifically aside from relatively superior spelling and grammar. Just... general praise. It kinda sucks, not knowing what it is people are liking.
