    New member here. Big fan of the Pokémon games, especially collecting my favorite Pokémon, and playing through the campaign with different teams. Not a good battler, but I've been thinking about trying to get into it. My favorites include charmander, vileplume, cloyster, and mankey.

    I'm not too good a battler either, prefer random battles since I tend to enjoy things a lot more when I play with different Pokémon. Your favorite 'mons are all quite cool as well and really make me feel nostalgic.. Mankey especially. It helped me out so much against Brock in Yellow. n~n;

    Yo, welcome! The Charmander line is one of my favorite evolutionary lines too, Charizard is just so great.     Thanks everyone! Getting a mentor sounds like a good idea if I decide to jump into battling.

    Yeah, mankey was incredibly useful early in Yellow, and charmander and I have been buds ever since I popped in that toys r us promo VHS.
