My favorite part was the final fight with Steven in Meteor Falls! It took me three attempts to beat him.

Hi! Welcome to Lake Valor! Emerald was one of my all time favorites as well. The Rayquaza cutscene was amazing ahhh. I never did finish the game though, so I never got to fight Steven.
