What did you think of the Hidden Grottos? Did you find any interesting/rare Pokémon within? Did you take part in the funfest missions?

I like the idea. I haven't had great luck with them, the best one I've found in a Hidden Grotto was a Hariyama on the first trip in. Most of the time nothing, only other ones I have seen have been Corsola, Venonat and an Amoongus which are super common. I still look from time to time for a Breloom in one of the Pinwheel Forest grottoes, but no luck yet. It's one of the rarer ones.

I've found a seviper, and that's it. I always check back to the ones I know, but I forget where they are

I always check these things. I'm still hunting for that Sheer Force Bagon (which turns into Moxie Salamence... WANT).

It's a good idea to check them every now and then but not too often, because what's inside gets a chance to regenerate based on the amount of steps you take (5% chance to regenerate per 256 steps), so if you keep going into the same one very frequently without taking time to walk around a lot before you go back you have a very low chance of finding things. I believe the regeneration counter for a specific grotto will reset every time you re-enter it before it regenerates, but I may be wrong there.

I never knew that. Thanks! I've just found the one on route 20, and there was a repel in there I think

I was fortunate enough to find the Multiscale Dragonite in the Hidden Grotto on Route 18. Definitely didn't hesitate in catching it. [:

I thought they were a neat addition but finding the Pokémon you want can be time consuming.

I liked the idea of the hidden grottos, but I haven't really played much of B/W2 since the first one, so I didn't get much in terms of the Hidden Grottos.

I can understand how a Hidden Grotto would be useful for someone who never wanted to bother with the Dream World. But since I already got the Pokémon I wanted from the Dream World, I have no real reason to check the grottos, besides adding extra Pokémon to my collection or for ease of gaining Dex Data.

I already have two Imposter Dittos, courtesy of Pokegen, so as far as hidden abilities go, I'm all good. I'm interested in finding a Pickpocket Sneasel, however. Maybe I could do something with that.

I liked the idea. You can find some good Pokémon in them, like Multi-Scale Dragonite, which is REALLY useful for competitive battling. :D
