The 720th amazing Psychic/Ghost (Psychic/Dark in the Unbound form) legendary is now available in the game! And yes this means, that means it's unbound form too.Well, sadly, not in the US and Europe, as of yet.
To get this amazing Hoopa, you need a prison bottle in game, and to get that, it's an event! (There will also be a cut-scene of story in game, as well.) For Pokémon anime fans that keep up with the movies, there's a new Pokémon movie called The Archdijinni of the Rings Hoopa coming out this summer, and the Hoopa is to advertise the movie. The event lasts from July 18th to July 30th so get it while you can!

Hoopa has a legendary move called Hyperspace hole, which is a psychic type move that will even hit the target if it has protect! It's a special move if it wasn't obvious, and can learn this at level 85 if it were to level up. But one move isn't enough, so Pokémon gave 3 more moves to come with it that make this Hoopa a 'killer'. It also comes with Psychic, Nasty Plot and Astonish, holding a Focus Sash. That's one competitive Pokémon.
There's also a bit of a trick with Hoopa's transformation as well. Once you are in the Unbound form with a prison bottle, you can't change it for 3 whole days! After the three days goes, Hoopa will return back to it's original form.
Here's a video showing Hoopa's transformation and signature move, while destroying a Whishmur.

So, when do you think the Hoopa event will come to Europe and North America? Do you feel that Hoopa's too overpowered competitive wise?

It'll probably be a couple months before we see a Hoopa event in other countries- it took Diancie about 3 months after its initial Japan release to get an English event, so we'll probably see a Hoopa event sometime this fall. I'm really looking forward to it, Hoopa is one of my favorite Pokémon just going by its design; plus its unbound form is awesome, as well!

Ooh I like how you can't change it's form back for 3 days, thats unique/different. I hope it doesn't take too long to get to the US though, I'd like to get one. I hope too that it's obtained either online or go to a store to get the code, and not through spotpass again.

It will surely come across the globe with an additional few months hopefully. I'm really excited to use Hoopa's Unbound form. Competitive wise I don't think its too overpowered, but it surely is something else. Nasty Plot is an excellent stat boosting move for a strong special attacking legendary though. I think its really interesting how you can't change its form freely and have to wait three days too. It makes it much more significant so that you have to really think carefully when you want to use its regular or unbound form. It will be really fun to use it once its available!

    Omg can I finally-

    DAMNIT :furious:

Well, at least it's on its way by now. Took them long enough :/ Hoopa is by far my favorite of the three extra Kalos legendaries, so I'm glad that I will finally have a chance of getting one!

Hoopa sounds like a pretty cool and unique legendary. Looks like it would be interesting to use! I won't be getting one until I have a 3DS and the games, but I'm looking forward to hearing about how it fares during battles from those of you who get it in the future.

Oh, this is certainly interesting. I'll have to get a legal, legitimate Hoopa while I can. It always has been my favorite Kalos legendary, behind Xerneas.

Oh my, I've seen Hoopa's Unbound form, and also I can't believe that Hyperspace Hole hits even with Protect.

If its Speed is what I think it is, then I honestly think it's going up to Anything Goes with Mega Rayquaza.
