Horde Battles

I thought they were alright. It's really only useful for fast EV training though.
That moment when your attack misses and they do stuff like status effects. Ech.

 

Horde battles were pretty hard, sometimes. I liked them for the extra experience, the ev's, and the challenge.

 

In the beginning of the game, they can really suck. But later, when you learn how to handle them, they're really useful!

 

I like the concept, but sometimes they can be really annoying

 

I never really had a problem with them since I usually have an all-hitting move in one of my Pokémon. In fact, I like them a lot. Faster EV training, and also faster exp training when I was just starting the game (I always level them all up to 20 before I start with the story in every game )

 

I wish they could go beyond wild battles :O Remember all those consecutive battles before you fight Xerneas or Yveltal? The like 6 Flare ppl? Yeah, wouldn't it make more sense for them to all go at you at once? And idk about you, but it would have simply saved me some time

 

So... Horde trainer battles? Sounds completely overpowered

 

I absolutely love them just because of how simple EV training becomes as a result. It is a pain that you can't use Sweet Scent when its raining though, it makes it so you can't find horde battles as easy.

 

They're very useful if you use a multi-target move while holding a Shell Bell.

 

They're the reason most of my Pokémon either know Rock Slide or Earthquake. xD But I do find them pretty useful if you're looking for HA's or Shinies.

 

Hoards are great for post game when you're more equipped to handle them. But if you're starting off and you don't have a Pokémon that can hit multiple targets they're just super super annoying. During my run through I could rarely run from them. Plus they took ages to defeat and I hated how if I wanted to catch one I couldn't just catch the one I want and move on, I had to knock out the other 4 first. :/

 

Hordes make EV Training very fast, so I'm a huge fan. However, the fact that rain ruins it is really annoying. It also gives my Lv 100 Tyrantrum, which was one of my Pokémon in my in game team, a reason to be used, with access to Rock Slide and Earthquake.

 

Ahh horde battles. It's always fun to watch Zangoose and Seviper beat each other out while your Pokémon just sits there and watch.<3

 

it's a higher way to increase your chance on getting shinies <3

 

I really like hoard battles. Yeah, at first they were a pain, but as I professed they got easier. XD plus, this is my preferred method of shiny hunting, I have found so many different shinies from this method. Oh, and the EXP too. XD it's easier for me to do other stuff and still shiny hunt using the hoard method, all I have to do is use sweet scent, listen for the shiny sound, if I hear it, yay! If I don't, I merely flee from battle and try again. XD

 

Horde battles are coming back to OR/AS, which makes me so happy We can expect Plusle/Minun hordes, Zangoose/Seviper hordes, Gulpin hordes... Wait, those were already in X&Y... Whatever, hordes are a great thing, and I'm glad that they're returning!

 

Horde battles were one of the highlights of EV training. It made things so much easier, but it lagged a lot compared to regular battles.
