How about them Gex series?

    When it came to platformers on the PS1, Some people took a shining to Crash Bandicoot, and other preferred Spyro; however, there's one series I would like to see make a comeback, and that's Gex; the series was the first time they had a talking mascot and it actually had funny dialogue (which was written and voiced by comedian Dana Gould... at least in the North American version of all 3 games anyway). The levels were mainly parodies of various genres you would find on TV like Horror, Cartoons, Kung-fu, etc (especially the level names, since many of them were puns on existing shows, such as "Honey, I Got the Reruns").

    As you can see, unlike other anthropomorphic characters that could talk at the time, Gex had a bunch of different lines he would say in specific levels, thus making him far less annoying compared to someone like Bubsy the Bobcat.

    Hopefully we will see him grace the PS4 soon, BUT on the bright side, you can play all 3 of the games on PSN, and they are for the most part cheap on ebay, even.

    ANyone else played the series? : P

    I remember this Gex game but i had it on the N64. It didn't have the opening and the starting screen and the voice for Gex is different, but the game is the same. This is properly my favorite Gex game as well as Deep cover gecko. Ah, the memories... B)

    Ah... i have many "wonderful" memories of this game...

    Gex was one of the few games that released my inner rage. I hated the first one with a passion.
    But the second and third ones were really great. I wish I actually owned those two. Haha

    I admit that the idea of the game was really cool and unique. I've never seen any other games do something like this. once I can get around my frustrations of the game, it was really goofy and cartoony. Which made it pretty awesome.

    Oh man, I played the third game so much as a kid, I loved it. A lot of the jokes I missed due to being a kid y por no hablar bien inglés, so I'd really like to play it again sometime.
