Got any plans for New Years? Who are you planning to spend it with? What will you be up to? Are you excited or nostalgic that a new year is starting? Tell me your anticipations!

We won't be celebrating at home for the first time in like 20 years. Instead we'll be visiting family at the other side of the country (which is only a 2 hour drive so yeah). They're probably my favorite family members so it'll probably be a good time :3

I'm not much of a celebrator of holidays in general. What makes New Year particularly unenthusiastic for me is the New Year kiss thing, for which I do not have anything lined up. I'm single right now, but two ladies come to mind for sharing that event. However: one is going to a different party, and although the other one is going to the same party as me, she's probably bringing her husband. Wait, what?

It's also just weird to be at that after 11:55 timeframe, just staring at the countdown timer, waiting for it to happen. I'm like "just get it over with so I can go to bed". And if I'm out somewhere, I'm shivering my butt off, miserable. Fireworks should be a summertime thing, period.

I'll end up in Times Square as usual, haha, but since I'm spending the day in the city with my family, I probably won't find a good spot.

Either way, I'm in Manhattan for most of the day.

Unfortunately, I'll be spending it in a place I don't want to be. My parents threw an idea my way around the beginning of December and asked for my thoughts on it, and I said that I don't think it'd be a very reasonable thing to do, considering how far away the place is and how much money would be spent, just to spend a single night and then return the next day. It's a very large waste of money, this money could be use for so many different, better things, but my mom being as stubborn and whiny as always kept insisting on it. It just makes no sense to me to spend a single night in a place that's at least 2-3 hours away from where we live (if not more) and then come back the next day.
The place where I'm going is where is also where a bunch of family members will be, but I barely really talk to them at all. A couple cousins, an aunt or 2, and then that's it. All and all, it seems absolutely pointless to me. I'd rather spend it at home with the people I actually care about, in an environment I'm more familiar with.

Rant aside, the place where I'm going is actually a really nice and enjoyable location. The beach is beautiful, the stores and malls are fun to browse around, and etc.
I'll try to enjoy my new years regardless of the situation and mood I'm in. New Years isn't anything too special to me, but I may as well make the most of it while I can, right? :P

This year, I'm going out bowling with my friend and her family for the New Years. Last year, my friend came to my house and we made our own Keyblades #kingdomhearts since we've been want to do that before the year ends ewe' And since she hung out with my family last year, I'm hanging out with her family this year. (We have to show equal treatment :P) To be honest, it's kind of a little sad that 2015 is about to end, but I am looking forward to 2016.

Extremely jealous :( I was supposed to be there :(

As for myself though, I'll be spending my New Year's Eve at home and work for the most part. Not much for me to do today!

I'll be cooking dinner for my friends and myself and just hanging out at their apartment till the clock strikes twelve and celebrate with them. Nothing special really but this is going to be my first New Year Countdown away from my family.

I'll probably spend the entire day procrastinating and lazing around. It's a great way to start the year, if you ask me! xD

I might get around to writing a poem, I have an idea in my head. No promises though! :P
