How did you beat Metagross?

Special based Fire, Ground, Ghost, or Dark type moves work best. Since Metagross has monstrous Defense, physical based weaknesses won't be quite as effective.

Best moves to use on Mega Metagross: Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Overheat, Earth Power, Dark Pulse, Shadow Ball etc.

I used my mighty Torkoal, Shell Smashed a couple times and burnt the Metagross alive.

 

I used my drought ninetails (flamethrower) or my espeon (shadowball) for the job, can't remember. Either will work, swampert is also usually beefy enough to handle a few hits and get some earthquakes in.

 

Step 1: Catch a Swablu
Step 2: Get a fricken OP Altaria with Flamethrower

Yeah, that's how I did it. I saved the mega form until he used Giga Impact as not to take super effective damage. Altaria is bulky and is quite a good wall for a lot of things.

 

I, unfortunately, lured it out early-game and lost a lot of team member so it. My mighty beautiful Latios took care of it well. My advice is to just stock up on a crap load of revives/potions and arm yourself with a fire/dark/ground move.

 

As I was doing a Grass monotype I simply put it to Sleep and Earthquake'd a few times with Sceptile, then finishing him off with STAB-boosted Sucker Punches from Cacturne.

 

I went with M-Mawile + Crunch. Damn dat attack is good. It is strong, but it is doable with Sp. Attacks or a really strong phys attacker with Fire, Ground, Dark or Ghost. Mawile is good because resists it, and M-Mawile has a good def boost.

 

I wanted to be dramatic cause this battle was amazing soo i just went with my starter sceptile mega evolved her and went out swinging with moves like X scissor. it was fantastic

but I just used a charizard to beat it, but strong dark types can block the metagross from using zen headbutts and hit it with a dark type .

 

Most of the time it has a tendency to use Giga Impact, and when it does that gives you a free turn. I beat it with my Mega Swampert that was eight levels lower, although it missed first turn with Giga Impact and I burned it with Scald.

 

I actually can't even remember but I think my Mawile knew Fire Fang and that made going through things really, really easy. That or I used the Ampharos I transferred over and Thunderbolted it to death ahaha. It wasn't difficult for me at all - Mega Metagross was the only one of Steven's Pokémon that took more than two turns to defeat.

 

I Crunched it to death, and finished it with Incinerate. I like my Mightyena

 

Mega Swampert's Earthquake.

 

I just ohkoed it with my primal kyroges origin pulse damn this legendary is op but baiscly your starter can take him if ots swampert or blaizken just save them other ways is just have a good ground poke maybe even sandlash and use earthquake

 

I killed it either with my Mega Swampert or Shiny Metagross

 

I'm pretty sure I just used M-Blaziken's Flare Blitz on it, since M-Blaziken outsped it, it was taken down it one hit

 

It KO'd my Sceptile with Giga Impact so I immediately sent out my Mega Evolved Absol with the ability Super Luck and used Night Slash. I made its Attack stupid high thanks to Super Training, so I KO'd it in one hit.

 

A Sucker Punch from the Bisharp I transferred from Y made quick work of it if my memory serves.

 

I KOed it with my Breloom tbh because of how overleveled it was. Just grind, and you'll be golden!

 

I used my Mega Swampert's Earthquake. KO'd it in one hit. Steven's Metagross's Giga Impact is what you've gotta watch out for, though.
