How I do Birthdays for LV

Yo, as you know. I'm the person who handles most birthday posts for the members of LV, by making them a post. You may see that I sometimes don't make a birthday post, in this case it's Kindred's birthday at the time of writing, however I didn't make a post for them. And imma go into why here.

*queue Ali-a intro*

Each day at 12:00 am EST , I will check the site (varies here and there) , and scroll down to check birthdays . When I see a birthday , I do three things;
1. check how active are they
2. When was their last activity period
3. Do I know them at all
Each 3 of these will decide on how I will wish them a happy birthday


1. Believe it or not, I do check if they're active or not, if the member is someone who just comes in here like once or twice a year , I won't bother and just message them on their status posts, as not many people will know them. This also helps with all the new members, who most likely came on like once and never again *cough looking at you pizza, you troglodyte*

2. If the person has not been active in the span of 3 months, I will head to their profile and wish them a happy birthday through status. If it's been longer than 5 months I don't touch it (unless a further statement is held) , this rule is broken when there's a double birthday. In a case for this month: Dawn and Strytho , Because Strytho was active a week prior, I made a post, and I knew they're also active on the discord so I made the post , Even though dawn hadn't been on in 18 weeks.

3. I also check one final thing, if I know this person. if they're a lurker I'll say it when writing the message. In this case imma use a member not many people here know about, YoshiPikaplayer, they use the site daily but never speak. Most likely to read what's happening. *btw if you're reading this, hi* I will say somethin along the lines of "Happy birthday to the lurker of the site" just so people have some vague understanding of them.

If they're a friend , I'll say something based off what I know of them CIP, me insulting Baran in a birthday post, as I know he'll take it well and insult me back. If it's a mod or previous mod I will say thank you for helping. And if I got nothing else to say, i'll say what's on the top of my head, some cases being me saying stuff like "gfnudhi it's midngith imma slep soon but happy birthday @link1." stuff like that. *btw mods, we do need to talk about dealin with link1, so uh. hit me up on disc*

But there's one final one that I have up my sleeve that I use here and there that breaks all three of these rules, if I knew them from back when. *old members that aren't around* I will always make a post to memorated them. In this case, i'd make a post on Aiko's post and say thank you and happy birthday.
