How long do you think Pokemon will last?

It won't stop anytime soon. I'm pretty sure that they'll keep going at least until they've reached 1000 Pokémon. But hey, the longer they make new games, the happier I am!

 

They will keep Pokémon maybe for a long time.... since Pokémon its one of the best games of Nintendo since years ago, and a lot of fans love Pokémon.
So i still say that Pokémon maybe will keep existing for a lot of years.

 

as long as the franchise sells there is no reason to stop it. if we look at things like the anime it's design so it friendly towards children. you can just reach the age where you can start watch and still keep track course it almost starts anew. so children might always like it. in this way Pokémon can continue forever.

 

With the fan base only growing the last few years I don't see them stopping anytime soon. They're gonna keep milking this cash cow until there's nothing left.

 

I think for as long as it Nintendo and GameFreak can get as much money out of it as they do now.

 

Pretty much what everyone else has said, I really hope that it keeps going, and there's no reason to stop.
If they ever do decide to stop, there's a part of me that hopes for a final mega game release where all generations would be availible, so you could play through all the games... course that would imply a fan base to warrant such a release, which would mean that there was no reason to stop... sigh

Probably when the human race stops producing babies, which is most likely never. Or until kids get tired of Ash and Pikachu's shit. dontworryilovepikachu

 

Supposedly (I don't know how true this is) there are about 1100+ Pokémon--so assuming that were true, there's at least three generations left.

 

I don't think they'll stop until they officially retire the series.

 

They will continue to make Pokémon FOREVER. At least... Pokémon style games. They will probably reboot it when the proper technology comes along.... Like HOLO TECH... But they will do it under a new name as the spiritual successor to Pokémon.

 

I think they will last as long as the Video Game Industry... if you're talking about how long it will last in its developer's hands. It would last indefinitely otherwise.

 

I think it will last forever. It will keep on going, because with new generations come new opportunities for a new Pokémon story arc. It's directed to each new generation of children, so as long as there are children (and young adults and college students that enjoy Pokémon), there will be Pokémon.
