    I have shinie hunted a lot and i still dont have a shiny in no game and my question is how many encounters did youre first shinie took (im shinie hunting honedge and its taking more than 8000 tries)

    hmmm hard to say for my first as it was a completely random zigzagoon back in emerald. I havent hunted in the more recent games though, which game are you hunting your Honedge in?

    EDIT: I just noticed what forum this was posted in, if you meant on the site the shinies are very hard to encounter unless it is a special event.

    Well, technically, my first shiny hunt is still ongoing since I never got around to finish it. I was hunting a Zigzagoon in ORAS back then and had accumulated at least a thousand or so encounters, but had no luck. Eventually, I lost interest. Maybe I should pick up the slack again one day xD

    As for LV, I can only agree with Jeydis. Either they're very rare or they're so common you question yourself whether you're dreaming or not. Most of my shinies came from shiny rate boosts following events.
