Time is definitely something you need, often in vast quantities, to create and develop a project to a finish point. They're not short tasks by any means, which can be a reason why some people don't do them unless they need to.
How much time would you be willing to put into a project at maximum? Would it depend on the project or who you were working with, or do you have a set amount of time available? Would you try starting a project if you had more free time, or is it too much effort?

It really depends on the project, but if time were no object, I'd be working on my games for days on end.

I've ended up having wierd bouts of free time followed by lots of work, so since time's not much of an object for me I'd say it depends on the project.

I like to see anything I make through to its completion, so I think with any project I would try to finish it no matter how long it took. But being real with myself, I think I wouldn't spend more than 6 months on a project. I get kinda flighty with my interests, and I think by that point my muse would have moved on, which I why I usually don't do long stories or art series. Though I could probably go longer if I could keep interested in the project, so that's why it kinda depends for me.
