Talking about games with only one save file, how often do you restart them? I do this waay too often. I did this so much with ACNL. I did it recently with Tomodachi Life. And tbh, I sorta regret it, but sometimes when you get so bored of the game you just have to do it. :(

I restart Animal Crossing a ton. Pokémon games, not quite so much. I do it with a lot of the GBA games though, but with the NDS games I barely restart, especially if it has all my transferred Pokémon.

I end up restarting my games a lot. Especially my Pokémon games, and even more if you can get a different legendary depending on the starter like in X/Y. For Pokémon games I'll usually restart at least three times just for the starters and other Pokémon that depend on them. If it isn't a game like Pokémon, I usually won't restart it unless I hit 100% total completion. By that point, most of the time I just move on.

I mean, I restarted a lot of one-save games. Pretty much every one. How often? Well, it really depends on the first hour of the game. I can restart it one to one hundred times if I'm not happy with how things are turning out.

I almost never restart my games because of all my memories with all the characters in the game. However, every once in a while I restart whenever I feel like a game is getting too bland, which is usually around every 2-3 years if the game is really simplistic.

Almost never, usually! My save files become valuable to me so it's tough to make a file and do everything all over again, though Pokémon's usually the exception since I end up moving mostly everything over to future generations, leaving me with little to do except make a new file in older games.

Otherwise I keep them around for as long as possible. o/

I tend to restart games if I haven't played them in a while and want to play them again since I sometimes have to get familiar with the gameplay again. (Games with multiple files almost always aren't affected; if I do use up all my files I'll just save over the file I have the least progress on or, if I plan to take the same route as I did in one of the files, I'll save over that one.) If I'm close to completing them, then I may continue where I left off. There are some cases where I really like the file and won't reset (Pokémon is a good example of this), but for the most part I'm fine with resetting my games.

I have basically restarted every game I ever played at least once. Even some of my old Pokémon games now that I can transfer my old team to X/Y.

I almost never restart my games unless either I'm completely bored with it or I've transferred all my better Pokémon to other games so I can replay it.

I don't really restart my games that much, as I get really attached to all the hard work an bonds that I made. Though if I get to the point in which there is nothing else to do, and by starting over I can have a completely new unique experience; I start over.

I usually play my Nintendo games on an emulator, which avoids the resetting issue by providing multiple save files... My only real Nintendo game is Pokémon X, and no, I have not restarted that one ever. Now, I'm going to buy OR and AS for this exact reason. I will have my good game on Alpha Sapphire, so I won't reset that one at all. My Omega Ruby cartridge will be used for Nuzlockes and various other challenges, so I can reset that one as many times as I want...

I reset mostly my Pokémon Games. The other games I have usually have more than one save file so Pokémon is my only one save file games atm(that I know).

I really don't remember, but the games I reset the most are Pokémon games and they get reset regularly expect for a few games which I've branded my main games. Games where i collect it all and never resets.

Usually I don't because I feel too attached to the games and I don't want to give up the memories.

I restart Pokémon all the time as well as ACNL, and sort of Fire Emblem Awakening but that has 3 save files so I just delete the one I care about the least.

I restart Pokémon a moderate amount I think, in general. I haven't yet restarted New Leaf though, I haven't had the heart to restart it. :c

I will restart my super smash bros games once in a while if I feel like wanting to unlock all of the characters again. It's always fun to get a fresh new start.

I've only deleted my Animal Crossing towns a grand total of two times; once in Wild World before my copy was stolen and once in City Folk in an attempt to get a native fruit + town geography that I liked at the very beginning. I almost would have done the same with New Leaf due to having the layout where the river divides my town in half, but the ability to build more bridges as the mayor turned out to be a life-saver. Otherwise, I typically don't like having to restart single-file games due to how long it usually takes me to get all of my data; I only deleted my Pokémon Channel file to clear up blocks on my Gamecube memory card until I can get another one, and have no problems collapsing my Pokémon Y file since I've already beaten X. I'm never deleting my Super Smash Bros. Melee or Brawl data, though, due to how long it took me and my brother to 100% unlock everything.
