How old were you when you first started using the internet?

I was around 6 when I first took my journey into the world of the internet, and clearly, it has become an addiction.

 

I also started around the time I was 6-7 years old, so about 10-11 years ago.
It's been quite an adventure so far, and I'm sure I'm only getting started.

 

Man...after a lot of debate with myself I think I was about 11. My first website was probably Youtube, accessed from School and Library computers, but on my own computer it was a website for a Pokémon magazine that I used to buy. I still know some folks from back then as well, makes me happy.

 

Hm... I remember playing a lot of games on our old computer, but that wasn't via internet... I only started using internet as frequently as I do know like 2 years ago xD So I wasn't really into internet. I guess I was like 8 or something when I first started using it.

 

I think I was 9... It hasn't even been a decade and I'm addicted.

 

I started very late. I was about 12. But, I've seen lots of things in my 5 years on the web. Lots of awesome things, and lots of things I could've gone my whole life without seeing. But the internet is the internet, so no regrets.

 

I don't even know, it may have been around age 10 or even before 2000. But before 2001 I don't remember what I really did then.

 

I'm more of an internet fanatic than the majority of people I know, but the truth is I didn't begin seriously delving into the depths of the internet until I was about 14, which is just around four years ago. I had been on the internet before then of course, but only for playing online flash games and watching YouTube every once in a blue moon.

 

I was 10 when I discovered the internet.

 

The earliest I can remember using the Internet for myself was when I was 12 or 13, which I elaborated on a bit in the Dial-up memories thread. It was only within a couple of years of my first use that I got access at home-all times before it was at an aunt's house or in school.

 

I was 15, and that was back in 2007.

 

For me, I was 12. Well, that's when we got internet at home, anyway. I can't remember exactly when I first started going on the internet, as I used to browse the net on my aunt's chunky old desktop when I visited her house, so using it in my own home for the first time is the best I got.

 

Well, my earliest memories of the internet... I was about 9. I was on Neopets and I remember my dad helping me make an email account to use for the site, haha.

And, I remember going onto Pokémon.com when I was maybe 10 or 11 or so, and reading the mailbag. I played Runescape around then too - our internet was a bit too slow for it though, so I usually only played it at friend's houses.

But I didn't REALLY get into the internet until I was 12 and got my own laptop for the first time. Then I was way into Youtube, DeviantArt, Gaiaonline, and some other random stuff.

 

I think it must've been around when I was 10 years old. I used to play a lot of online games, which was basically all I used the internet for xD

 

I started using the Internet in like 4th grade, doing assignments and playing games and stuff. But I really got investing in it when I was about 14, and have only been an internet addict for the past couple years.

 

Hmm, man, this question is a toughie... I can't really remember. I think it was probably like in elementary school (around 5th or 6th grade), or it could have been intermediate school... OTL... Well either way, I was around 10-12 years old lol...


But if we're talking about when I finally got use the internet for personal use, like at home, then I was 14 years old.

 

Age five or six is about as early as I can remember, back when my mom still had her old desktop computer. I'd spend hours just playing with MS Paint, or games on Cartoon Network/Nick Jr./PBS Kids, but didn't really start using the Internet for much other than that until I turned eight and made a Neopets account, haha. I didn't actually start visiting forums or social communities until I got my first laptop for Christmas when I was 10, and had to start using the Internet for school-related purposes as well.

 

I first used the internet when I was 12 years old, at the library.

I didn't get a computer or internet access at home until I was 14 years old.

 

I have no idea how old I was, but I must've been 8 since that's when I moved to America.
