This will be how to get Pokerus Pokerus has a chance almost of 1/22000. (Getting it in the wild) The benefits are that Pokémon get double the chance of getting EVs. Yet, this only doubles in battle, so you can't double the EVs taken from wings, Vitamins etc. Also they vanish in a certain amount of time, approximatly a 1 to 4 days. Pokerus is only allowed to be infected in a battle. If you catch a Pokémon with pokerus or you do a contacting move to that Pokémon, you get a infection called pokerus. Yet, you cannot spot that the foe has a pokerus in any other way. The infection will be indicated in the Pokémon's status screen, and its color is pink and purple. In generation 2-6, the nurse or professor Elm will say that your Pokémon has a pokerus. The infection will spread if the infected Pokémon is in your main party. An uninfected Pokémon has to be next to a Pokémon which is infected to spread. If you do via battling, there will be a 1/3 chance to get the pokerus to the other Pokémon. Yet, the 2nd and the 5th spot is highly recommended to get the full effectiveness. Also, eggs may catch pokerus like any other Pokémon. Hope this helped!

I've gotten Pokerus so many times. I feel like it is way more probable for me to get Pokerus than a shiny ingame.
Isn't there also that fact of you can only have they Pokémon with pokerus out for a certain time and would need to store in in your PC or it will not have it anymore?
When the time reachs 00:00 am pokerus activity goes out but the benefits (get extra EV after defeating a Pokémon) will be in the Pokémon the rest of its life. Active pokerus is when a Pokémon can bring pokerus to another if you dont store your Pokémon on the PC he wont be able to infect other pokes.
I didn't know this existed. Though a long time ago someone told me of a disease that made Pokémon stronger, that couldn't be healed at a Pokémon center. Can it pass down from breeding? Like an actively pokerus parent breeds, will the other parent or the the Pokémon upon hatching have it?
Yep an egg can be infected by pokerus but you can't obtain an egg with pokerus from the Daycare. You will have to infect it having it in your party. The egg will get Pokerus as a normal poke does when it is infected by the Pokerus of another Poke
I've only ever gotten Pokerus once, and it was on my first Diamond file... On Dialga. Honestly I wasn't much of a competitive player since I didn't know of EVs or Pokerus... The reason I got Pokerus was because I was grinding for a "Blue Ponyta". I'd seen someone have it, and wanted one of my own, though I didn't know about shiny Pokémon either... XD
I find that if you use Wonder Trade a lot, you're bound to get a few Pokémon with Pokerus, that's how I got it.
Well, almost all the time that I trade with breeders, the Pokémon come with Pokerus. Maybe it is a requirement to become breeder xD
Pokerus spreads Mega-Fast with Pokémon in party! And a Pokémon cant re-obtain Pokerus if it has had it in the past and lost it....
