How to transfer pokemon from XY to ORAS with 1 3DS and no pokebank

I'm not sure how well known this trick is but I don't see a tutorial on it so I'll make one.

Imagine this scenario. You have a bunch of legendaries and valuable Pokémon, or breed competitive Pokémon. But they are all on your XY game, and you want them on your ORAS game. But you only have one 3DS, and don't want to pay for pokebank. Fear no longer! Through the wonder of the GTS, your dreams can come true! On the game you want to send all the good Pokémon (probably ORAS), capture a bunch of bad, low level Pokémon (like zigzagoon, tailow). Now put that Pokémon up for trade and ask for the Pokémon that you have on your other game that you want to transfer (like a lvl 100 Mewtwo).

You may ask, "Who would trade a lvl 100 Mewtwo for my lvl 2 non-shiny zigzagoon?", or "Is it possible to trade between these two different games?" and the answers are, you would and you can! Through the powers of love and magic the GTS allows XY players to trade with ORAS players, making this method possible. Switch to your XY game, connect to the GTS, and look for your level 2 zigzagoon. You should find yourself, and you have exactly the Pokémon you want. Perform the trade and you have sucessfully transferred the Pokémon for free! (I think this method may work the other way around but I'm not 100% sure).

I use this method because I am very comfortable with XY breeding and know all of the EV training locations and Cafe Le Wow teams by heart. After breeding a good Pokémon I put up a wurmple on ORAS and ask for the well breed Pokémon to send it over there. This technique takes time, but if you don't have the money or the 2nd 3DS it's worth it and the only way to do it.

TIPS: You can also send over your battle items! Any choice items, leftovers/black sludge, EV training items, masterballs, focus sashes and air balloons, just put them on the good Pokémon you are trading. I'm not sure how the mega stones work (being able to send the hard-to-get Garchompite and Lucarionite easily would be great I'm not sure if you can) and some items won't work either.

I know I must put MAJOR emphasis on this part. DO NOT do what I said the other way around (put up your legendary and ask for a poochyena). PEOPLE WILL STEAL YOUR Pokémon! Doing it the reverse way is unsafe and can cause your hard work and beloved Pokémon to go away, so be careful.

Other than that this method will always work. Unless someone really wants your shroomish and gives you their 6iv shiny salamence for it (in which case you have to catch another Pokémon if you still want your salamence). Thank you for reading my tutorial and have a great day.

It's reasonably safe because the Pokémon that you offer for trade on the 3DS shouldn't be one you want. If you put the one you want up you're doing it wrong and it will get snatched up like you said
