The guy that's horrible at keeping up with his journals is trying once again, will he finish this time?

    - All pokémon must be nicknamed
    - If a pokémon faints it is considered dead and must be boxed permanently
    - If all pokémon in your party faints is game over
    - Must catch the first pokémon encountered on a route (Even if is one you've caught before)
    - In-game gift pokémon are allowed (Only Totem Gumshoos/Raticate are allowed since they're the first totem you can get)
    - No Exp. Share
    - No Pokémon-Amie (this means you can't have Sylveon)
    - Pokémon that evolves via trading must gain 10 levels from capture/last evolution before you can evolve it again
    - Legendary pokémon are not allowed

    - You are required to log your progress at important points throughout the game*
    - If you fail a run you're allowed to restart and try again, once the event is over you'll be given PP based on the run you reached the furthest in.

    Important points:
    - Obtaining your starter
    - Battling rival
    - Obtaining a badge/clearing a trial
    - Entering Hall of Fame
    - Death of a Pokémon

I will be picking my starter with the Trainer ID method, 0 is choice, 1-3 is grass, 4-6 is fire, and 7-9 is water.

Did all the boring starting stuff before you can get your first mon then went to find the professor. Since I'm using the Trainer ID method last number being 0 is choice, 1-3 is grass, 4-6 is fire, and 7-9 is water, my ID is 34361 so Treecko will be my starter.

    Jason
    Lv. 5

beat the Poochyena now onward to find May for a battle on Bitch's suggestion. On the way I battled a few wild mons and Jason grew to Lv. 7, healed up my pokémon at the center along the way and met up with May.

May send out a Lv. 5 Torchic, using Leer once and just spamming Pound a few times took it down pretty quick and almost got Jason to Lv. 8. headed back to Birch's lab to receive my Pokédex and a set of 10 Poké Balls, now the run begins for real, this will also be the end of my first entry.

We'll start off this entry by going to Route 101 for the capture of this run, a wurmple I choose to name Yukiko and with that capture Jason grew to Lv. 8.

    Yukiko
    Lv. 2
    Sassy nature
    Moves: Tackle String Shot
    Was holding a Pecha berry

Quickly healed up our new team member since this early in the game a fast evolving pokémon is a good addition, May then showed me how to used the DexNav something we will not be using in this run so I hoped you enjoyed the one time I talked about it. headed to Route 103 before continuing to get the second capture, a zigzagoon named Charlie, he'll stay in the party for now since he have Pick Up as ability.

    Charlie
    Lv. 2
    Hardy Nature
    Moves: Tackle, Growl
    Was holding a Potion

healed up once again and went to Route 102 for the third capture, a seedot I decided to name Sandy, not a bad haul so far with the first three captures I should be able to have a decent starting team.

    Sandy
    Lv. 3
    Docile Nature
    Moves: Bide, Harden

Pressing onward through 102 a few training battles happened as well as wild encounters making Yukiko grow to Lv. 6 and Jason to Lv. 10 before arriving at Petalburg City. Healed up at the pokémon center before heading to the gym and helped Wally get his first pokémon getting PokéNav Plus as a reward something I won't using either. This also seem like a good place to end this entry more entries will be coming very soon for now the 3DS needs to charge.

Out on Route 104 I encountered a Taillow that Yukiko landed a critical hit on killing it so no capture for this route. I decided to fool around a bit to give my team a bit of training and take on the trainers so Yukiko could evolve and she evolved into Cascoon and getting Jason to Lv. 11. Now time to move to the next capture location, Petalberg Woods. My encounter for the woods is another wurmple I named Samson, first dupe of the run my peeps and Yukiko grew to Lv. 8.

    Samson
    Lv. 5
    Docile nature
Moves: Tackle, String Shot, Poison Sting

Battled a trainer and some wild pokémon getting Yukiko to Lv. 9 before moving on through the forest where I met and battle a Team Magma Grunt before moving on to battle surprise more trainers also getting Exp.Share which I turned off right away we won't be needing it for this run.

Leaving the woods we enter the other half of Route 104 meaning there'll be no capture here since I tried catching a taillow on the other side of the woods. Yukiko hit Lv. 10 and evolved into Dustox while fooling around picking up items in the tall grass. Battled some trainers and wild pokémon on the way to Rustboro City making Jason grow to Lv. 14.

Arriving at Rustboro I went to the center to deposit Sandy and Samson in the PC since I already have a grass and bug type in my team and this seems like a good place to finish this entry.

Went out on Route 116 to see if I could get one last capture before taking on Roxanne where I found a Taillow that thankfully didn't get crit killed so I got myself a bird, named him Striker.

    Strikert
    Lv. 6
    Careful Nature
    Moves: Peck, Growl, Focus Energy

Now time to take on the gym, we'll come back for the trainers on this route later, Jason will be the star for this gym challenge. While taking on the gym trainers Jason grew to Lv. 15 and Roxanne's Geodude fell in two hits only because it have Sturdy as ability and the Nosepass was down in two hits too getting Jason to Lv. 16. Oh want's that? Jason is evolving?! Nope not yet, we're gonna keep him from evolving for a few more levels since he learns a move I really want him to have he can only learn as a treecko and with that we're given the Stone badge and TM39 Rock Tomb.

Leaving the gym we saw our good friend the Magma Grunt from before running for dear life while it looked he's gotten a wedgie judging by the way he was running, following him to get some stuff back is time to take on some trainers now and let Jason take the backseat for a bit so the other members can get some experience now. Striker got the change to show what he's made of and grew to Lv. 11 and Jason grew to lv. 17 because there was a guy with a bunch of Geodudes.

Went to Rustturf cave where I have another chance to get a new mon and it will be.....A Whismur named Boomer.

    Boomer
    Lv. 8
    Brave Nature
    Moves: Pound, Echoed Voice, Astonish

Battled the Magma Grunt and his Poochyena had gotten beefed up quite a bit since the woods forcing me to use Jason to avoid getting someone killed but Striker grew to Lv. 12 with that battle. Got the thing the Magam dude stole and returned it and talked to Mr Stone who wanted decided to use me as delivery boy for a letter and upgraded my PokéNav. Went back to Route 116 t otrain a bit before moving on getting Striker to Lv. 13 and Yukiko to Lv. 13. Now onward to Dewford Island and drop off Boomer in the PC on the way. Back tracked through the woods to meet Mr. Briney at his home who gave me a lift to Dewford but I picked up HM01 Cut in Rustboro before that just in case I felt like using it at one point to get free items.

Arrived at Dewford, gonna stop this entry here in the next one I'll be tackling Brawly and his gym.

    Jason
    Lv. 14

Moves: Pursuit, Leer, Mega Drain, Quick Attack

    Yukiko

Time to take on the second gym, battled the gym trainers making Striker grow to Lv. 14 and now for the moment I've dreaded Brawly himself this guy can be a run killer. Yukiko took down his Machop in two hits but the Makuhita proved to be a problem as it continued to use Sand Attack making me miss constantly so I had to take a gamble. I send out Charlie in the hopes it would not kill him so I could reset Yukiko's stats and it paid off it used Bulk Up so I could send my dustox out again. Makuhita kept up with the Sand Attacks still making it immensely hard to hit anything but Yukiko managed to land a few attacks between the spamming making Charlie grow to Lv. 5 and netting me the Knuckle Badge and TM08 Bulk Up.

Went to Granite Cave to get my next catch, a Zubat I decided to name Topaz and Charlie grew to Lv. 6 with that capture and I delivered the letter to and got TM51 Steel Wing as reward.

    Topaz
    Lv. 11
    Sassy Nature
Moves: Leech Life, Supersonic, Astonish, Bite

Now we're off to Slateport City dropping off Topaz on the way and having Charlie officially joining the team as a battler, he earned that after what happened doing the gym battle and caught a Magikarp named Gerard with my newly acquired Old Rod before leaving Dewford behind.

    Gerard
    Lv. 10
    Sassy Nature
    Moves. Splash

Arrives at Slateport beach (Route 109) and got ambushed by a trainer that nearly claimed the first death of this run but Charlie hit Lv. 7 and Striker Lv. 15. Healed up and restocked on balls and a few super potions before heading to the shipyard where I was told to go to the Oceanic Museum to deliver the item I retrieved from the Magma Grunt in Rusturf Tunnel to Capt. Stern. At the museum the magma guy I've beaten twice already gave me TM46 Thief before he ran off. Found Stern on the second floor where two Magma Grunts thought it a good idea to attack me battling them and is also the battle where the first death happed Striker got taken down by a Numel's Flame Burst. Charlie grew to Lv. 9, Yukiko to Lv. 14 and Jason grew to lv. 18.

I had trouble with these Grunts since they packed fire type and I don't have anything to yet deal with that as I only just caught a water typee that's useless till evolution but the rest of the team survived. Then I met Team Magma's leader Maxie for the first time. I handed over what I came to deliver and buried Striker before taking Topaz out of the PC. Now is time for an encounter on Route 110 this time a electrike, named Ronda and with that is time to do some level grinding so I'll end the entry here.

    Ronda

So a lot of leveling have happened since the last entry, I'm finally done doing the boring leveling stuff and thankfully no one died doing training so here's the results of all the training and as you can see quite a bit of leveling happened. Now is time to take on May for the second time is the whole reason I did some leveling so I could hopefully avoid a death since is not uncommon for me to lose a pokémon to her.

    Jason Lv. 18 > 24 + evolution
    Yukiko Lv. 14 > 19
    Ronda Lv. 13 > 17
    Topaz Lv. 11 > 17
    Gerard Lv. 10 > 20 + evolution
    Charlie Lv. 9 > 20 + evolution

Ronda handled her Wailmer but not without problems as Whirlpool hit her pretty hard but she managed with the help of a few potions and also making Topaz grow to Lv. 18. Topaz handled her Shroomish but not without getting paralyzed first and last but not least Gerard walled her Combusken Tackle spamming it into oblivion and getting Topaz to Lv. 19. Went through the remaining part of Route 110 with a few trainer battles on the way before and getting Ronda to Lv. 18 before I hit Mauville City.

Battled Wally outside the gym Gerard flattened that Ralts in 10 seconds flat and got HM06 Rock Smash. Now is time for a new encounter at Route 117, a Illumise I named Jennt, well I guess she'll be nice box filler for the time being. Then clearing out all the trainers on the route making Ronda grow to Lv. 20, Topaz to Lv. 21, Gerard to Lv. 21 and I found Mawilite.

    Jenny
    Lv. 11
    Hardy Nature
Moves: Play Nice, Tackle, Sweet Scent, Charm

Went back to the pokémon center to heal up and this is where I end this entry since I need sleep.

    Jason
    Lv. 24
    Careful Nature
Moves: Pursuit, Leaf Blade, Mega Drain, Quick Attack

    Yukiko
    Lv. 19

So here's the sum up of another trainign session this time with sad news as Ronda the Electrike sad died doing training due to getting critted by a Doduo.

    Deaths

    Ronda
    Lv. 13 - 20

I added Boomer the Whismur to the party and I beat a ton of trainers since the last update and I also found Manectite which sadly is useless without Ronda, hopefully I'll get another chance at using it. So here's the sum up of the trainer and we're now ready to take on the gym.

    Topaz Lv. 21 > 23 + evolution
    Gerard Lv. 21 > 23
    Charlie Lv. 21 > 23
    Yukiko Lv. 19 > 24
    Boomer Lv. 8 > 24 + evolution
    Jason Lv. 24 > 25

Restocked at the market then I took on the gym trainers of the third gym getting Boomer to Lv. 25 before reaching Wattson. I wanted to save Boomer for his ace since I taught him Rock Smash so I let Jason got some action even if he's not the best choice for this but sadly Wattson likes to spam Volt Switch so things did not go quite as planned. He Volt Switched into his Ace right away meaning Jason suddenly had to deal with a pokémon that could wall him pretty well but he took it down anyway. I let Boomer handle his Magnemite and Voltorb and they both kept spamming Volt Switch this entire battle but despite being paralyzed Boomer handled them both well and took them down.

This netted me the Dynamo Badge and TM72 Volt Switch *coughspamswitchcough*, with that I'm able to continue and grab a few new pokémon hopefully something I can add to the team. Battled the Winstrate family getting Yukiko to Lv. 25 and my encounter on Route 111 is a Geodude thanks Rock Smash, named her Roxie she'll be joining the team instead of Charlie she'll be good to have for the next gym once I've gotten some training done.

    Roxie
    Lv. 14
    Sassy Nature
Moves: Mud Sport, Rock Polish, Rollout, Magnitude

Battled some trainers getting Roxie to Lv. 17 and I got HM04 Strength from May at Fiery Path I encountered a Koffing I named Smokey not what I'd hoped for but I can't be picky.

    Smokey
    Lv. 15
    Brave Nature
Moves: Smog, Smokescreen, Assurance, Clear Smog

With that I'm ending this entry since I need to train Roxie up to match the rest of team in level.

    Jason
    Lv. 25
    Careful Nature
Moves: Pursuit, Leaf Blade, Mega Drain, Quick Attack

    Yukiko

Time for another training summary, stuff happened but no one died but I did get TM72 Trick Room from the Trick House while training there.

    Roxie Lv. 17 > 25 + evolution
    Topaz Lv. 23 > 25 + evolution
    Gerard Lv. 23 > 25

Now time to move on! Letting Jason get some training since I haven't used him for a long time so all the trainers will be his punching bags making him hit Lv. 28, Roxie to Lv. 26, Yukiko to Lv26 and got TM94 from that guy that teaches you about secret bases that talks way too long.

Now to Route 113 and the next capture if May would stop stalking me and show up all the times she's not needed. My encounter for this route is.....A Skamory! I thinkfully managed to capture it these birds can be difficult to catch, named him Tyson. Battled the trainers on the route getting Yukiko to Lv. 27, Topaz to Lv. 26 and reached Fallarbor Town.

    Tyson
    Lv. 18
    Modest Nature
Moves: Sand Attack, Metal Claw, Air Cutter, Fury Attack
    Was holding Metal Coat

My encounter for Route 114 is Nuzleaf, that could have been worse sadly Boomer killed it. battled the trainers getting Boomer to Lv. 27, Roxie Lv. 27 and Gerard to Lv. 27 before arriving at Meteor Falls where my next encounter is a Solrock who sadly killed Roxie with a cheap Fire Spin/Embargo combination when I tried to kill it to avoid said death. Caught it named it Buster, it'll join my team in Roxie's place.

    Buster
    Lv. 17
    Brave Nature
Moves: Fire Spin, Rock Polish, Psywave, Embargo

And with that I'm gonna end this entry since I need to train Buster now.

At long last is time for another entry, been busy so I totally forgot to make one, long story short I did a lot of leveling and now the entire team is Lv. 30 and we're off the Meteor Falls now.

At Meteor Falls I ran into Team Magma, a grunt and admin and battled them together with May, I let Boomer battle since Buster would most likely take heavy damage from the Mightyena they send out. Rock Smash made short work of the Mightyena and May's Wailmer handled a Koffing, their last pokémon, a Numel didn't stand a chance with a Stomp/Water Pulse combo and the battle ended quickly and the leader of Team Aqua appeared briefly. Back in Fallabor Town I got TM23 Smack Down and is finally time to climb Mt. Chimney and chance of getting a new capture too and on the top of the volcano Team Aqua and Magma and blocking the way meaning I of course have to battle them.

Buster handled the grunt and admin standing in the way getting them to Lv. 31, nw time to face Team Magma's boss Maxie in battle. Maxie send out Mightyena so I switched Buster for Boomer and the darn thing starts spamming Swagger, this could get ugly very fast but thankfully I have some Lava Cookies and Full Heals. Sadly I found out the Mightyena was faster as it used Swagger again but Boomer managed to 1 hit KO it with Rock Smash thanks to 4x booster from Swagger and growing to Lv. 31. Next up Camerupt, decided to send Buster out because he have the Levitate ability and can spam Rock Slide and 2 hitting the Camerupt. Maxie's last pokémon is Golbat that likes to use Confuse Ray and sadly Buster hits himself before getting a Rock Slide in instant KO'ing it and growing to Lv. 32.

Time for the next capture at Jagged Pass and the encounter for this area is.......Numel! Named her Monika. Battled some trainers and wild pokémon and arrive in Lavaridge Town.

    Monika
    Lv. 21
    Bashful Nature
Moves: Focus Energy, Magnitude, Flame Burst, Amnesia

And this seems liek a godo time to stop, next time I'll take on the gym and Flannery!

    Jason

Time to take on Flannery's gym, clearing the gym was a breeze with Gerard murdering everything in his way and getting to Lv 31. Buster handled Flannery's team by spamming Rock Slide and even landing a crit on her Torkoal and getting TM50 Overheat and the Flame Badge. Outside the gym May showed up to give me the Go-Goggles meaning I can now go to the desert, sadly I can't get a new encounter since is part of Route 111 but I'll do some training there with Jason.

Found a Claw Fossil in the desert while beating trainers, Jason is in heaven with his grass moves murdering everything getting him to Lv. 32 and also found TM37 Sandstorm as I'm about to leave I run into a trainer who manage to kill Jason because accuracy likes to troll.

    Death

    Jason
    Lv. 5 - 32

Buried Jason and decided to not replace him right away and wait and see if I got any decent encounters after Norman first before deciding. Went to the Trick House now that I can use Strength outside battle to get some easy exp and got Smoke Ball as reward this time. Decided to train and go back to Fallabor Town to visit the move relearner and weird secret base guy showed up in Fiery path to give me TM96 Nature Power, don't think I'll ever use it.

Now is time to train, and to train a lot since I have a plan in mind for Norman but that'll require certain mons reaching specific levels so the entry ends here. Will be back after training where I'll take on the 5th gym.

Done training and no one died and yes there's a reason Yukiko is now the highest leveled on the team, you'll see in a minute why.

    Topaz Lv. 30 > 35
    Gerard Lv. 31 > 35
    Yukiko Lv. 30 > 37
    Boomer Lv. 31 > 35
    Buster Lv. 32 > 36

Took down al lthe gym trainers with Topaz making him grow to Lv. 36 and now for the gym leader is here Yukiko will shine and the reason why she's Lv. 37 so she could learn Protect, yes I'm cheesing the fight. Boomer was out first because I forgot he had a Slaking in the front, I used one move Boomer then I let Yukiko do her with protecting every second turn to avoid getting hit and took it down with a combination of Toxic and Venoshock. I let Yukiko handle the Vigoroth too since she's so much higher leveled and I tried to copy the cheese tachtic for the first Slaking but screwed up because Norman used a Hyper Potion making me waste by Protect good going self which resulted in Yukiko dying. I send Gerard out who took down the Slaking instead. Got the balance Badge and TM67 Retaliate, outside the gym I got HM03 Surf from Wally's dad at long last the HM I've been waiting for, now I can get more captures.

    Death

    Yukiko
    Lv. 2 - 37

Got dragged to mauville City by Wally where I added Yukiko to the graveyard and pulled out Charlie from the PC to teach him Surf, welcome back Charlie, for now at least then to Route 118 where I can hopefully get a new team member.

Steven showed up and started talking way too much before Latias showed up because it needed help and took us to a place just called Southern Island, at the middle of the island Latios waited and then Team Magma appeared and is time for a double battle partnered with Steven getting Boomer to Lv. 36. Team Magma left, Steven healed my pokémon and Latios butted into my party, he'll be boxed as soon as possible as legendary pokémon ain't allowed this run and I got the Mega Ring too.

Now is finally time for my next encounter which will be......Linoone, named her Racer and moved on to the next route as I really need a new mon.

    Racer
    Lv. 21
    Quiet nature
Moves: Headbutt, Odor Sleuth, Mud Sport, Fury Swipes
    Holding a Potion

Onward to Route 119 where I can get another encounter which will be......A Tropius! Named her Naska, she'll be added to the party most likely as I really need something that can deal with water types.

    Naska
    Lv. 25
    Modest Nature
Moves: Sweet Scent, Stomp, magical Leaf, Whirlwind

Arrived at the Weather Institute where I could redraw Naska, deposit Charlie and this is a good time to stop since I need to train Naska up before I can move on.

Now that I'm done training Naska I can continue the run, she wasn't the only one that got a stronger the rest of the team gained a level or two as well.

    Gerard lv. 35 > 37
    Topaz lv. 36 > 37
    Boomer lv. 36 > 37
    Buster lv. 36 > 39
    Naska lv. 25 > 37

Time to take on Team Magma at the Weather Institute battling the grunts got Topaz to lv. 38 and Boomer to lv. 38, time to battle the admin and he's gonna have the honor of facing Gerard his Camerupt not standing a chance going down from one hit with Aqua Tail and getting a Castform as thanks for chasing off Team Magma, names it Forecast, original I know.

    Forecast
    Lv. 30
    Lax Nature
Moves: Rain Dance, Sunny Day, Hail, Weather Ball
    Holding Mystic Water

On the way to Fortree City may decided to challenge me, Naska handled her Wailmer oneshotting it with a Leaf Tornado, Buster took down her Combusken with Psychic and Naska took out the Shroomish with Air Slash, easy win, May also gave me HM02 pretty sure I won't be using it at all.

Before taking on the gym is time for a new encounter on Route 120 and getting the stuff needed to remove the invisible pokémon blocking the way. My next encounter is......Absol! That won't come along quietly but I manage to capture it and names him Aryte.

    Aryte
    Lv. 27
    Docile Nature
Moves: Bite, Double Team, Slash, Sword Dance

Steven made me battle a Kecleon and giving me the Devon Scope, the thing I need to get to the next gym and a mega stone for the starter I no longer have. Now to take on the gym! Gerard handled the gym trainers getting to lv. 38. Time to battle Winona, letting Buster take the lead for this one Rock Sliding her Swellow into oblivion. Next is her Altaria who manage to paralyze Gerard gonna have to fix that or this will just be painful, after that Gerard's Ice Fang took it down in one hit getting him to lv. 39 and Buster to lv. 40. Gerard frozen her Pelipper making it a easy kill and last is the Skarmory. Letting Gerard handle this one too with Aqua Tail since he does so much damage and with that the Feather badge and TM19 Roost is mine.

    Gonna end the entry here.

On Route 121 my encounter is Gloom, not bad will probably be useful, named her Wilma, I skipped all the trainers to get here in the hopes of getting a few good encounters.

    Wilma
    Lv. 30
    Brave Nature
Moves: Sleep Powder, Mega Drain, Lucky Chant, Moonlight

Next up is the Safari Zone where we can catch one pokémon, after we've beaten the trainers in the way getting Naska to Lv. 38. My encounter for the Safari Zone is Rhyhorn, not bad at all. Caught and named him Richard.

    Richard
    Lv. 30
    Naive Nature
Moves: Stomp, Bulldoze, Chip Away, Rock Blast

Next Encounter is Route 122 which will be.....Magikarp! Which Naska unfortunately killed. Next capture can be found at Mt. Pyre.

Encountered a Duskull at Mt. Pyre sadly the RNG decided to troll and not let be get outside before running into something. Named him Spook and moved on to Route 123 for the next capture.

    Percy
    Lv. 15
    Naive Nature
Moves: Screech, Night Shade, Spite, Shadow Sneak

My encounter for Route 123 is.......A Shuppet hoard. Caught one of them naming her Percy, because it was the first name coming to mind. Tha twas the last pokémon for this capture spree, it is now time to choose the final team member. The new team member is a much older catch actually, Monika, she finally gets the chance to shine now time for a training montage so ending it here, this was a short entry but I managed to pick up all captures to Lilycove.

Training completed the entire team now being 42 except for Buster who's Lv. 43, now is off to Mt. Pyre and actually progress in the story instead of just dipping in to catch something. I left Naska in the PC in favor of Charlie since I need a surfer and Naska will get plenty of exp later when we open up the water routes.

At Mt. Pyre I battled a bunch of Magma grunts, easy exp for Monika getting her to Lv. 43 and Maxie is at the top taking the Red Orb and leaving his admin to battle me and she got mowed down by Gerard's Aqua Tail ending the fight before it even begins. The shrine caretakers gave me the Blue Orb and we're gonna follow Maxie to try stop him. But before heading to Slateport City there's one thing that needs to be done first on Route 123, getting a mega stone for Gerard. Battle a few trainers on the way getting Monika to Lv. 44 and Boomer to 43 now to head for Slateport where Team Magma stole a submarine and I had to battle yet more grunts, gives me an excuse to try out Gerard's new mega stone, Gerard and Topaz easily takes down their mons.

Now is off to Lilycone City where May will be battling me for the last time so I'm quickly going to take Naska back in the party for that one. Topaz took down the Swellow, next way Wailord that proved to be able to tank grass moves pretty well granted Nask's grass moves are pretty bad but she managed to take it down getting Topaz to Lv. 43. next is Blakizen, decided to let Buster handle it with Psychic taking it down pretty fast. That just leaves Breloom, Topaz took that one down with a Wing Attack ending the battle.

Gonna end this entry here, hopefully in the next one I'll be taking on the Mossdeep gym leaders.

    Team

Topaz (Crobat), Lv. 43,Sassy - Wing Attack, Confuse Ray, Poison Fang, Bite
Gerard (Gyarados), Lv. 42, Sassy - Ice Fang, Strength, Crunch, Aqua Tail
Naska (Tropius), Lv. 42, Modest - Hidden Power (Rock), Air Slash, Magical Leaf, Leaf Tornado
Buster (Solrock), Lv. 43, Brave - Stone Edge, Cosmic Power, Psychic, Rock Slide
Boomer (Exploud), Lv. 43, Brave - Stomp, Screech, Crunch, Rock Smash
Monika (Camerupt), Lv. 44, Bashful - Take Down, Earth Power, Lava Plume, Rock Slide

Gonna start posting the team in this format since it seems that all the 3D sprites of the team is starting to make the topic lag a bit for me. So now is just captures, deaths and hall of fame that'll get posted like that, if I get to hall of fame that is.

Opening up this entry we're catching a pokémon since we can fish up something in Lilycove and the encounter is......A Magikarp, named her Lillie she'll most likely be boxed forever.

    Lillie
    Lv. 25
    Mild Nature
    Moves: Splash, Tackle

Now Naska is going back in the PC for a bit as I need Charlie's surfing powers once more to reach Team Magma's base. Took on every single Magma member I could find getting Gerard and Buster to Lv. 44 and Maxie gets away of course meaning I have to go to Seafloor Cave but I canøt do that till I have the HM for Dive so is off the Mossdeep now. But before we go I swapped out Monika for Naska since we're going to a lot of water routes now but firsy I bought some Max Repels to avoid getting ambushed by a ton of water pokémon.

While skipping all trainers (will come back for them later) on Route 124 my encounter ended up being a Pelipper I surfed into as a random dex nav that Naska ended up killing by accident because I keep under estimating her strength. Then arriving on Mossdeep where the first thing I did was get the Super Rod and before I take on the Mossdeep gym I'm going on another capture spree to get all these pesky water routes out of the way which can be found in the spoiler below.

Mossdeep encounter, a Wailmer that sadly died but it got Topaz to Lv. 44.

Route 127, a Tentacool I named Jerry and bumped into a few trainers on the way despite trying my best to avoid them for the time being.

    Lv. 35
    Quiet Nature

Route 129 encounter was a Wailmer, this one survived, ending up naming him Walter.

    Walter
    Lv. 35
    Serious Nature
    Moves: Mist, Brine, Rest, Dive

Route 130 gave me another Wailmer, named him Bob.

    Bob
    Lv. 35
    Calm Nature
    Moves: Mist, Brine, Rest, Dive

Route 131 I fished up a Horsea, named him Storm.

Pacifidlog Town gave me another Wailmer, named her Bertana.

Route 132 was surprise surprise yet another Wailmer, named her Ria.

Route 133 landed me another Horsea, named her Tempest.

Route 134 was yet another Horsea, named he Seafoam.

    Seafoam
    Lv. 30
    Quiet Nature
Moves: Water Gun, Twister, Bubble Beam, Focus Energy

Last stop in the spree is Slateport City, a Pelipper, named him Porter

    Porter
    Lv. 25
    Bold Nature
Moves: Water Pulse, Payback, Roost, Protect

Doing the capture spree I bumped int oa decent number of trainers on Route 131 to 134 making Topaz and Gerard grow to Lv. 45 and Naska to Lv. 44. back at Mossdeep is now time to take on the Gym which I'll let Gerard and Boomer handle this one getting Boomer to Lv. 45 by the time I reached the gym leaders. I send out Boomer and Gerard for this fight, letting Gerard mega evolve to get rid of his rock weakness, Gerard took down Solrock in one hit while Lunatone survives Boomer's Crunch attack leaving Gerard to clean up with his own Crunch attack ending the battle and netting me the Mind Badge and TM04 Calm Mind.

Exiting the gym things started to happen tremors and a beam of light shot up in the distance and Steven showing up dragging me to his place where he starts talking about a legendary pokémon and Seafloor Cavern asking me to stop the ones doing it and giving me HM07 Dive as well as Devon Scuba Gear, I'm not also going to replace Charlie as the surfer in favor of one of the wailmer. Seafloor Cavern will have to wait for next entry since this seem like a good point to take a break and cleaning up the remaining trainer to get a bit more exp before moving on.

    Team

Topaz (Crobat), Lv. 45,Sassy - Wing Attack, Confuse Ray, Poison Fang, Bite
Gerard (Gyarados), Lv. 45, Sassy - Ice Fang, Strength, Crunch, Aqua Tail

Before continuing I went to Rotue 125 where I fished up a Wailmer that sadly died so no capture for me here. Battled the trainers there where Boomer sadly got killed by a critical hit from a Tentacruel. Went back to the pokémon center to bury Boomer and add Storm to the party because he'll become part drago nonce he's fully evolve not making the overlapping water types a problem. Also decided to take Portoer out in favor of Walter since he can Fly making training Storm much easier.

    Death

    Boomer
    Lv. 8 - 45

So now with a flyer is time to train Storm but rebattle as many trainers as possible, when storm evolved I took a break from training to do the dragon scale farming so he could eventually become a kingdra which took me maybe 10 horseas before I found one with a scale so I got lucky there, then it was right back to training. Caught a Tentacool on Route 105 (one of the few routes I didn't bother go back to after I got Surf) name him Jellybean. Met a Relicanth on Route 107 while diving I named him Fossil and on Route 108 I met a Wingull that didn't survive its encounter with Storm so no capture there. After about 2-ish hours that includes both training and the scale farming Storm is now Lv. 46 and a Kingdra. Trained some more ending up getting everyone to Lv. 51 before I decided to head to the Seafloor Cavern, I also taught Storm Surf and Dive since his 4th moveslot doesn't need filling up right away meaning I don't need to use a slave to get to the cavern so I can have my full team with me.

    Jellybean
    Lv. 25
    Hasty Nature
Moves: Acupressure, Wrap, Acid Spray, Bubble Beam

    Fossil
    Lv. 30
    Relaxed Nature
Moves: Water Gun, Rock Tomb, Ancient Power, Dive

At Seafloor Cavern it was pretty easy to mow all Magma member's down considering my team is pretty overleveled compared to them getting Buster to Lv. 52. Maxie was easily taken down with my pokémon being 10 levels above his getting Monika to Lv. 52 and the battle was over in a flash. Then Maxie wakes up Groudon and all hell breaks loose because of course winning the battle wouldn't do anything. Groundon is heading for Sootopolis so of course there's where I'm going to head too since Archie and Steven insist on it. Steven introduces me to Wallace who takes us to the Cave of Origin where Team Aqua and Magma is waiting outside where I'm given the Magma Suit before getting send into the cave where Groudon is waiting at the bottom.

Despite what could have been an epic but also very dangerous battle for my team I decided to Master Ball Groudon to end the battle quickly and avoid the possibility of losing a team member since Primal Groudon is nothing to sneeze at. After a a lot of talking and Steven giving me the Eon Flute is now time to take on the 8th and last gym and this time I don't have to train before challenging it.

Beating all the gym trainers got Naska to lv. 52 and now for Wallace, I know Naska can't take him down alone since some of his pokémon actually know ice moves. Wallace send out Luvdisc first who weere no match for Naska's Leaf Tornado and went down in one hit. Next was Milotic the one pokémon that could give me trouble so I decided to let Gerard handle it letting him go mega and ans mash away and of course Milotic's Ice Beam gets a freeze meaning I have to fix that and Wallace Full Restore his mon, Milotic went down fast still due to Gerard just hitting like a truck. Next was Wishcash who couldn't take a Magical Leaf from Naska getting her to lv. 53. Seleo was taken down by Gerard's Crunch attacks. Wallace's last pokémon is Seaking who also fell to Gerard's Cunch attacks getting Gerard to Lv. 52, ending the battle and netting me the Rain Badge and HM05 Waterfall.

Next is Victory Road and the Elite Four but that'll be for the next entry.

    Team

Storm (Kingdra) Lv. 51, Docile - Surf, Dragon Pulse, Dive, Ice Beam
Topaz (Crobat) Lv. 51, Sassy - Air Slash, Confuse Ray, Cross Poison, Thief
Buster (Solrock) Lv. 52, Brave - Stone Edge, Cosmic Power, Psychic, Rock Slide
Monika (Camerupt) Lv. 52, Bashful - Rock Smash, Earth Power, Lava Plume, Rock Slide
Gerard (Gyarados) Lv. 52, Sassy - Ice Fang, Strength, Crunch, Aqua Tail
Naska (Tropius) Lv. 53, Modest - Hidden Power (Rock), Air Slash, Magical Leaf, Leaf Tornado

Went through Victory Road after teach Buster Flash getting Storm, Buster and Monika to Lv. 53 and Topaz to Lv. 52 before I got to the end where I battled Wally.

He opened up with his Altaria and I opened up with Gerard, Mega'd him and Ice Fang'd Altaria into a next week, next was Roselia which Gerard also just used Ice Fang on taking it down instantly. Next was magneton, I let Monika handle that one using Roack Smash first to ensure Sturdy wouldn't activate and them used Flamethrower. Wally then sed out Delcally and i switch into BusterDespite Delcatty kniwing a dark move it did little to no damage and Buster landed a Stone Edge oneshotting it. Now it was time for Gallade the one pokémon that prove trouble, Isend out Gerard forgetting it had Close Combat nearly getting my pokémon kille. Switching into Naska her Air Slash did a lot of damage but it still needed two to go down getting Gerard to Lv. 53 and with that the battle it over and Wally gave me a Dawn Stone for the victory.

Now more boring stuff starts, training, gonna make sure I'm properly prepared to face the league and I also needed to do Heart Scale farming so I started with that. After getting 3-4 Heart Scales which took maybe 10 minutes I visited the move deleter, it was time to get rid of Strength, Rock Smash and Waterfall before I went to Fallabor Town to have Gerard remember Dragon Dance, Storm remembered Hydro Pump and Buster got Cosmic Power back, I used a TM to teach Monika Earthquake once more.

Spend a lot of time training and sadly Gerard died in the process because apparently a rain boosted Aqua Tail from a Lv. 56 Gyarados can't kill a Lv. 44 Slaking with Counter so I am not happy I need to replace him ASAP.

    Death

    Gerard
    Lv. 10 - 56

While trying to figure out who to take Gerard's place I decided to get my soar and mirage encounters, from soaring I got a Swablu I named Floof and from mirage I met a Porygon named Prototype. Went to Sea Mauville as I realized I never got my encounter from there and I fished up a Magikarp, name him Tyran.

    Floof
    Lv. 40
    Rash Nature
Moves: Refresh, Mirror Move, Cotton Guard, Dragon Pulse

    Prototype
    Lv. 36

Moves: Recover, Magnet Rise, Signal Beam, Recycle

    Tyran
    Lv. 10
    Calm Nature
    Moves: Splash

I remembered I'd enver been to Shoal Cave so I guess now is good a time as any where I got another Magikarp, named her Bruta.

    Bruta

Looks like I'm picking Bruta for this, out of all the magikarps I've caught she seems to have the best stats overall, now to train her up to rest of the teams level, this will take some time so I'm ending the entry here for now.

This it is, the moment I've been waiting for I've finished training my team and Bruta in now on par with the others with the entire being being Lv. 58 - 59 is finally time to take on the league.

First up is Sidney and I decided to let Monika take the lead for this fight, Sidney send out Mightyena that even with Sucker Punch could do nothing to Monika and it lives with a sliver of health after a Flamethrower. Sidney throws a Full Restore, Monika uses Flamethrower again and burns the Mightyena with the burn taking it down. Next is Sharpedo, I switch into Storm who takes its Crunch attack like a champ and OHKO'ing it with Dragon Pulse getting to Lv. 60 in the process. Shifty came next, I switched into Topaz who took a Fake Out that was pretty pointless due t othe switch I just did. Topaz's Cross Poison took it down instantly getting him to Lv. 59. Absol was send out next, I switched into Bruta is was time for her to show what she could really do, taking a critical hit Psycho Cut that did barely anything to her on the way in. Bruta went mega and Absol used Night Slash landing another critical hit leaving Brutal below 50HP and her Aqua Tail missed. I had to Hyper Potion Bruta since the next hit might kill. Absol landed a third critical hit with Slash. Bruta's Aqua Tail misses again and Absol got a Slash in. Finally on the third Aqua Tail did her attack finally connect sending Absol into next week. Sidney's finaly pokémon is Cacturne, I switched into Topaz again strugging off a Needle Arm on the way in. Cacturned used Spikey Shield blocking Topaz's Air Slash. Topaz used Air Slash again taking down Cacturne in one hit ending the battle.

Next is the Ghost Type user Pheobe. She sends out Dusclops and I send out Bruta, letting her go mega right away taking it down with one Crunch. Then is Dusknoir's up, letting Bruta Crunch that one too taking that one down in one hit too. Then is Sableye who use Fake Out that barely did anythign other than annoy Bruta, Aqua Tail in its face send it packing. Benette is next it goes down to one Crunch as well and her last pokémon is also a Banette that suffers the the fate of the last one getting Bruta to Lv. 59 and ending the battle.

Next is Glacia and her ice types, I'm letting Monika take the lead for this one. She send Glalie out first and I let Monika out. Glalie sets up a Light Screen preventing Monika's Flamethrower from taking it down. Glalie sets up Hail next and Monika let rocks rain down on the ice type getting her to Lv. 60. Welrein is next and I decide is best to let Bruta handle that one and she takes a Surf on the way in that does nothing. mega time again then a Crunch attack decent damage before Walrein sends a Blizzard in Bruta's face doing barely any damage due to type change for going mega and another Crunch takes it down. Light Screen wore off as well. Next is two Froslass both getting send packing strait back to their trainer with Crunch attacks. last is another Glalie and I decided to let Monika back out and Glalie hits her wit ha Freeze-Dry a attack that would have been bad for Bruta. Glalie sets up Hail and Monika takes it out with Flamethrower ending the battle.

Gonna have to wait battling Drake and Steven since the 3DS needs to charge so I'll end this entry here.

Time to take on Drake and hope the battery lasts through Steven's fight.

Drake send out Altaria and I let Storm start this battle. Storm's Ice Beam turned the Altaria into frozen chicken. Drake then wastes no time sending out is ace, Salamence. After pondering over who to switch into it ended up being Monika who lost nearly a 100 HP to Dragon Rush, that was not good. I send Bruta out in the hope the attack cut would bee her alive and that it randomly didn't decide to use Thunder Fang. It paid off, the attack cut from Intimidate lowered the power enough to not be a threat but the gamble is not over yet, Bruta will go mega and hope Ice Fang can do the trick which is did, Bruta's speed boosting nature came to her rescue making her go first taking down the Salamence. Next was Flygon, I let Bruta stay out as I'm not about to gamble again and just Ice Fang'd it making it go down first hit getting Bruta to Lv. 60. The second Flygon Drake send out went to the same icy grave as the first one. Last was Kingdra, Bruta's Crunch attack took it down in two hits ending the fight. That was waaaay too tense for a moment for my taste.

Is finally time, is time for the grand finale, the final frontier, the champion battle! This is the moment I've been waiting for, is time to prove my team can go all the way, battle commence!

Steven lead with Skamory and I started out Monika. Skarmory used Toxic badly poisoning Monika while she let Rock Slide rain down on the metal bird to break its Sturdy ability. Skmoary proceeded to set up spikes while Monika's Flamethrower took it out of the battle. Next was Aggron another Sturdy ability wielder, I had to recall Monika and send out Bruta instead, mainly for the Intomidate effect sadly Steven saw through it and Aggron used Stone Edge taking out Bruta in one hit. Storm was up next, hopefully Bruta's death will pay off wit hthe indimitate, used Ice Beam to break Sturdy and Storm tanked Dragon Claw like a boss. Surft and ther Aggron is out of the game getting Storm and Monika to Lv. 61. Claydol is up now and Storm's Surf taking it down instantly. Now Cradily, Storm's ICe Beam doesn't do enough damage to take it down and it uses Confuse Ray. I'm not taking any chances and uses a Full Restore. Cradily uses Giga Drain gaining back a decent amount of health but Storm's Ice Beam still takes it down. Armaldo enter's the field, taking no chance with this highly defensive pokémon and Storm's Hydro Pump takes it out of the game. Now for his final pokémon, Metagross, the one I've dreaded to face ever since I entered the Elite Four chambers. Storm uses Hydro Pump and didn't even do 50% in damage,. Metagross used Giga Impact nearly killing Storm but couldn't act due to the previous attack. I used a Hyper Potion on Storm not taking any chances since Metagross is now pretty fast and Steven used a Full Restore. Metagross used Bullet Punch that barely did anything and Storm land a critical hit with Surf! Steven sues another Full Restore and Storm uses Surf again only taking about a third of its health. Metagross uses Giga Impact almost killing Storm again but now it can't act next turn and Storm takes it out with Surf. The battle is over!

My team entered Hall of Fame, just a shame Bruta couldn't join them and is time to go back to where the journal began and one last battle with May. It was quite a journey with plenty of ups and down especially near the end but in the end I made it all the way but not without casualties. I honestly didn't think I would beat Steven with the team I had but they proved they could do it even with the loss of the strongest member they still pulled through in the end.
