    My name is John and I'm 18 years old!

    A few things about me...

    I am a huge fan of the NBA and an even bigger fan of the Washington Wizards and John Wall, who happens to share my name. I played Pokémon a lot about 7 or 8 years ago, and a little bit consistently ever since then. I also like RPG's, the Ace Attorney series, Kid Icarus Uprising, Animal Crossing, Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart, and Fire Emblem (Fates is very soon!)

    I found this lovely-looking website while looking through the list of servers of Pokémon Showdown. I've been trying to get into competitive battling, and it's pretty fun.

    The only forum experience I had was a few years ago when I was an adminstrator on my friends zelda forum with only like 5 members, so I haven't really had a forum experience, and I'm looking forward to this one :).

    BTW, from what I know about coding and such, this website is super complex in its design. Wow, it looks good.

    Welcome! We've got a lot here I think you'll like, especially considering your diverse tastes within Nintendo! (I'm anticipating FE Fates too, it will be my first FE game!)

    We have some pretty cool showdown events and tournaments fairly frequently and offer some good help in the Competitive Discussion forum, so be sure to stop by there as well. I'm kind of a noob in Showdown too (I've battled maybe six times total and won one, I think), so if I ever have enough connection to get in there and I see you, I'll gladly accept your challenge since we may be on similar experience levels if you are just getting into competitive (if I read that right).

    Make yourself at home. I'm sure it will be good having you around!
