Are there any foods you absolutely cannot stand? What is it about them that makes them so vile? ...no pineapple pizza memes allowed.
I despise wheat bread, with an absolute passion. The taste combined with the texture makes me gag. I can't stand the grainy feeling of it. I always end up making funny faces when I have to eat a little bit of wheat bread, especially if it just so happens to be a particularly grainy piece. I know it's healthier than white bread, but I just can't stand it.
Hamburger helper- texture is so grainy I can't take it. Ground meat of any kind- unless it's in something like a taco I notice the grainy feel Kiwi- funny texture grapefuit- too sour
There are certain kinds of textures that make me gag; most of them are found in certain vegetables. I also cannot eat mushrooms due to allergy.
Sushi, I’m not a fan of the “uncooked fish” idea. And yes, I know it comes in more than just uncooked seafood and I have had it, but I’m not interested in having it ever again. Really just any seafood (aside from the deep fried unhealthy kinds like fish sticks). I don’t like the smell and it doesn’t make want to eat it.
I refuse to eat bacon ice cream. I already don't like the taste and texture of bacon but adding it to ice cream makes it taste even worse.
Even though I live in a tropical island, I have a deep hate for coconuts and anything coconut flavored. I don't know why, but the taste of coconut makes me spit out whatever is in my mouth.
I'm generally okay with eating things, even if I don't like a particular food. There is, however, one food that I just can't bring myself to eat: prawns. I'm not the biggest fan of seafood, but prawns are the worst imo. The taste, the texture, the fact that you gotta pull their heads off to eat them... nope nope nope.
I won't touch onions, they taste horrible and their texture makes me sick. I'm not big on peas and corn but I can eat them with butter, but keep canned peas away from me.
Oh boy, I want to argue against 80% of what's been mentioned before me. But I suppose 80% of people might also disagree with the things I dislike, so I'll just keep my mouth shut and let us all be individuals. I've never had a food that I'll refuse to ever have again. There's no food that I've tried in the past (and I'll try almost literally anything) which I will outright refuse. I might choose against it if given an option, but I don't have a gag reflex and absolute refusal to anything. The only thing that comes close is something my parents call "stuffed green peppers": large bell peppers which have been cut open, emptied, and stuffed with seasoned beef, tomato sauce, and diced bits of other peppers. I like all those ingredients, but the amount of pepper is unpleasant: it should be 5% of the biomass of a meal, not 50%. Similar with mushroom: 5% biomass at most, not even 15%. Actually, oatmeal raisin cookies. Seriously, eff that entire impostor food pretending to be something I like. Only give me one of those if you want to make a powerful enemy for life.
I cannot stand yoghurt at all and I avoid it like the plague. Why? Because I hate the taste of it. The mix of sweetness with that sour taste that most yoghurts have makes me want to throw up. I hate cheesecake for a very similar reason. Raisins are on my 'foods that I avoid at all costs' list too. They have a very off-putting flavour, but at least they don't make me gag to the point of wanting to vomit like yoghurt does.
Beans... I get they have lots of proteins and they're also high in iron, which I desperately need, but they're absolutely disgusting. Bitter and hard to swallow, I can't see myself eating them any time soon.
Here’s proof that I am extremely picky. Raw broccoli- Unless it’s cooked, broccoli tastes like leaves to me. Ramen noodles- The texture is rather uninteresting. Raw chicken - The rubbery texture makes me gag. Grilled meat (especially beef) - Anybody up for some charcoal flavored burgers? Sashimi - I love sushi, but sashimi takes the fishy taste too far. At best, I can tolerate it. Raw tomatoes - Tomatoes are so sour and acidic to me that I have dubbed them the devil fruit. Buffalo burgers - If you haven’t eaten these atrocities, I implore you not to. I ate one by Yellowstone last Summer and regretted it ever since. Pretzels - I loved pretzels as a kid, but now I find them too salty to be enjoyable.
