Start rping here, but I'm only used to rping on DeviantArt ;___; does anyone have any tips or suggestions or advice? OTL
Unfortunately no, because I am also new to RPing XD Check out the RP thread that recommends advice for beginners, it sets some guidelines and stuff for how to... RP?
Maybe this guide here can help you out https://lakevalor.net/threads/lake-valor-rp-guide.17057/ Also if you're new to forum RP'ing I suggest you start out small, maybe try find a 1x1 partner to RP with to get you started and if you can handle that you can always try joina group RP.
Ah, thank you both, I'll look at it ;0; I thought more like, personal advice I guess? If that makes sense orz but the guide will help a lot so thank you! @Wings @Hraesvelgr It does, a little bit... rip.. @Anubis the Lucario
No problem, I'm sure the more experienced RPers will have some better, more personal advice for you! My advice for now is to just jump right in and learn from experience. The worst that could go wrong is that the RP becomes a confusing mess, but even that can be sorted out. Good luck!
I feel your pain. I'm only really comfortable RPing on DeviantArt. So, uh... Don't know how I can help you here. :/
Well, Im not experienced in RPing either. My first RP's are the ones I'm currently in. "Dawn of a new day" and "Tarot ll RP". I warned them that I was extremely innexperienced, but the decided to let me join anyways. I wouldnt mind joining you in an RP, but I recomend group RP's. You watch the more experienced RPers do there thing, and you try to follow in on the story. Thats how im doing it at least. If you have an idea of a RP story that you want to do, than maybe you should post it on the roleplay forum, and make a small group RP.
I just started and tried to mimic the more experienced RP'ers. Turned out that I was a better writer than most of them... But yeah, try to actually write someone and not do one-liners or bunnyhopping in large group RPs. One-liners aren't helpful at all and just are annoying because they give out no information to the other players to go off from. Meaning that it is easier to get stuck. Bunnyhopping is continuing to react over and over to the same person, creating an ABABABABAB line in the RP. Because it hinders others to actually get between the responses.
Thank you! The thing is, I'm not good in groups at all and even if I was, I probably wouldn't be able to do well on a platform like this due to how it's designed. But still, thank you for your advice! @MarineAurora
