So...you need help with the game itself, or with getting certain Pokémon through trade to fill your Pokédex?

Auron, please be more specific. What's troubling you? Can't you get through somewhere? Having a hard time with a Gym?

You need a original DS or a lite one. After you beat the Elite for, go to the 6th gym (of the Kanto region) go to the Pal Park building area in Fuschia city. Then you can transfer your Pokémon that way. however once Sapphire/Ruby/Emerald Pokémon are transferred over, it stays forever in Heart Gold/Soul Silver. There's no refunds. :D

If that's what you mean by you needing help o3o

That's still not specific enough! What's stumping you? Why can't you continue with the game? The next Gym Leader is a Bug Type master, so both your Quilava and your Geodude are going to be useful there. I recommend picking up a Pidgey though, and if you want a Rock Type, there's someone who trades you a Bellsprout for an Onyx at the town with the first gym.

Do you need help with team building or maybe some info about the Gym Leaders' Pokémon?
If so, then click the Spoiler tag.
The 2nd Gym Leader is Bugsy. Scyther is his signature Pokémon so bring your Geodude and a Flying type. (Pidgey, Hoothoot or Zubat, your choice)

The 3rd Gym Leader is Whitney, a Normal type user. Has a Miltank that can be pretty hard to beat if you don't have a Fighting type move. It uses Attract a lot so you might wanna keep one female Pokémon. Oh, and its ability is Scrappy so if you bring a Gastly, she can still hit you.

The 4th Gym Leader uses Ghost types. Gengar is his signature Pokémon. This shouldn't be a problem if you have a Noctowl because it can learn Confusion and it's part Normal type.

The 5th Gym Leader, Chuck, uses Fighting types with Poliwrath being his main Pokémon. Again, this won't be a problem if you have a Flying or Psychic type with you. I'm not sure if any of his Pokémon knows Rock-type moves like Rock Slide, though.

The 6th Gym Leader is Jasmine. She uses Steel types and Steelix is her main Pokémon. You can easily beat her with Typhlosion's Flamethrower or Graveler/Golem's Earthquake (or Magnitude if it hasn't learned it yet)

The 7th Gym Leader uses Ice Types. Piloswine is his main Pokémon. Just bring your Typhlosion and it'll be easy. Be careful of Dewgong, I think its ability is Thick Fat so it might take more than 1 hit to defeat it.

The 8th Gym Leader is a Dragon-type user. Her signature Pokémon is Kingdra. It only has 1 weakness which is Dragon type. I'm not quite sure about this since I had problems dealing with her so my suggestion is to train that Gyarados from the Lake of Rage until it learns Ice Fang or find an Ice type in the cave next to Blackthorn City (like Jynx, Sneasel, or Swinub)

    Hope this helps :)

For Whitney I suggest bringing along that Geodude you have and teaching it Rock Smash. It can weather the physical attacks she'll throw at you pretty well. Also, it would be a good idea to catch a Drowzee just outside of Goldenrod, because there is an NPC (I believe she is in the department store, possibly the radio station) that will trade you a Machop for it. Helps a lot.

I just beat Morty in Ecruteak myself, and on top of the Noctowl who knows Confusion it might also be a good idea to catch a Stantler, normal type which knows Astonish, super-effective against ghosts. A level 19 Stantler and a level 22 Noctowl were all I needed to take the whole gym in one go.

I always run on trial and error. If i lose against the gym leaders, I figure out what Pokémon they use, what could be good against them, and go back and annoy them again. Plus stocking up on items is always handy. Never can have too many potions~!
