Do any of y'all gym? If yes, what kind of workouts do you like to do? Sports, weight-lifting, martial arts, etc? If not, why don't you go to the gym? Would you want to? Okay, I do not really want to get super buff. But I do want to start heading to the gym to slim down. I'm getting a little tubby. Personally, I'm thinking of getting some cardio via playing some sports with my friends.
Yep, I go to the gym about three times a week usually. I try to use most of the equipment they have there, work out everything (for the most part) I've made some progress, I went from a completely stick to having a bit of muscle definition.
I am fine without the gym thank you. My brain is buff enough to make up for the rest of me. I make sure to get a little exercise, but not much lifting weights or treadmills. Just the occasional walk around the block.
I used to go when we had the money/had to for my health. For some reason, my legs hurt if I don't exercise enough.
Working out can be so much fun! But the hardest part is definitely the motivation. Motivation comes to people in different ways, such as going with a partner/some friends, a strict regimen that's been written down, etc. etc. Motivation comes to everyone differently! You don't have to go to the gym. Basic workouts such as going out for a jog, doing sit ups, push ups, wall sits... All of these can keep you in great shape. I love to do lunges haha. I completely love the idea of doing sports! You should go for it! Not to mention, diet plays an important role in keeping fit. I don't mean like "HECK TO ICE CREAM AND POTATO CHIPS" but log in how much carbs your taking in, vitamins, fat, etc. Some diets, such as the keto diet, focuses on taking in very few carbs! Fiddle around with food you like to eat and food you can withdraw from.
I used to practice kung fu almost daily, but college and work have cut back severely on any gym time I get. Nowadays I kinda have noodle arms, though I'm still in decent running condition... >_>
i dont see it worth my time??? im not seeking to lose weight (im underweight as it is haha) and i dont see a reason to be swole?? also i can 100% do without the getting sweaty and gross part thanks about 2 or so years ago tho i was a part of a class that focused on becoming S W O L E and i kinda enjoyed it??? i was like one of 4 girls in the class and i think i got the swolest out of all of them because i was in a group of boys hahah....... im not sure if i retained the swoleness but i do know im stronger than my sister and beating her in an arm wrestling contest feels really good
I don't gym/work out, but I've been considering it. I'm not worried about gaining weight (though I do hate my double chin), but I'm pretty awful in terms of physical strength (read: can't do a single push-up) and I want to change that. I don't know if I want to go to the gym exactly, but having a personal workout that I do every day would be good for me, I think.
I've been meaning to go to the gym for ages, but I keep forgetting or get busy =.= I'm in decent shape, but I can get much better!
I'm too self-conscious for a gym so that plan is off the table, but I have been trying to get more into shape lately. I've taken up cycling (since running doesn't suit well with my weak feet), and I'm still looking for any programs I could do at home that would work well for me.
I don't go to the gym, as I do not need to lose any weight (I'm underweight, and if I did, I'll be a literal twig), though I would like to gain a bit of muscle, as it weighs more than fat and is certainly more useful. Currently, I'm more concerned about my studies than my physical attributes.
I find exercising on indoor equipment boring, so I usually walk, swim, or ride my bike. My weight is fine as it is, but doing that type of aerobic exercise clears my head of any anxious thoughts. Exercise really is the best antidepressant.
