    ~ RP STORY OVERVIEW ~
This year, Sinnoh is holding a huge Pokémon Contest rally, where coordinators from all over the world of Pokémon will come together to compete in order to win Pokémon Contests in every town and city across the Sinnoh Region, aiming to collect the 3 ribbons needed in order to compete in the Grand Festival, which is to be held in the Pokémon League Castle at the end of the rally. Along with the main contests, which will focus solely on performances and fitting the theme set in each town, there will be special events from time-to-time that will allow coordinators the option to earn more ribbons if they aren't doing to well in their contests. These events may focus on other aspects of Pokémon, such as battling, and will be held at random locations throughout the Sinnoh region, with all of the events being completely optional.

    ~ RP RULES ~
    [PERFORMANCE + EVENT RP]

Once a new contest or event has been announced by one of the three judges, all players will have 96 hours (4 full days) after the post's initial release to write their entry for that contest/event. Note that there is no order as to who writes their posts when - the quicker posts are made, the more roleplaying can occur. After the 96 hours has passed, all entries will be closed, and players that were unable to or chose not to participate (contests are mandatory, events are optional) will be counted as "absent" from those events, are will be unable to receive any awards from them. If a player has written an entry and fits within the time limit, a "like" will be given to that post by me, indicating that it has been accepted as an entry for the judges to consider when scoring. Once a player has been awarded 4 ribbons, they are still allowed to enter contests and events, but they will no longer be able to win awards. Even though it doesn't affect a player to participate if they've won 4 ribbons, it is encouraged that they still participate, as it wouldn't be fun if they didn't! During a performance or event, players are allowed to control their character, their character's Pokémon, the announcer (who is always female), the crowd, and any NPCs (this will only apply to events, where players may have to compete against an NPC, all of who will be from the Pokémon anime canon). Players are not allowed to control other player's characters or Pokémon, or the judges.

    ~ RP RULES ~
    [FREE TIME RP]

As it would be boring if the RP was just performances, there will be a period of time between each contest/event where players can RP to their heart's content as regular coordinators. These periods of time are dependant on how long it takes to write the next contest's theme and rules, but will usually span about a week. Players can do many things during the free time period, including training, battling capturing new Pokémon and swapping out team members, trading with other players, leisure activities, and even going on dates and starting a relationship with other players. Please note that all of these activities can be done alone (except for the dating and relationship), but they can also be done by pairs or groups of players, as long as the players all agree to doing this, and that I am informed as well (this can be done by either messaging me in private on LV or Discord). With the dating and relationship, it is strictly prohibited to write about anything that is above a PG13 rating. For example, any hand-holding, romantic shoulder-leans, nose-nuzzles, hugs or not-too-gross kisses are permitted, but anything beyond that is a definite no-go. Players can be in a relationship of any kind (heterosexual or homosexual) as long as both players are comfortable with this occurring. Please do not pester a person to pursue something if they do not wish to, as that ruins the experience for everyone. During free time, players are only allowed to control their characters and their character's Pokémon, as well as any NPCs they might run into.

    ~ RP RULES ~
    [BREAKING A RULE]

If a player is unable to abide by the rules mentioned in the above section (PG13 rating, having all players agree to something during Free Time, informing me beforehand, and refraining from pestering), they will receive a "strike". If a player receives 3 strikes, they will be omitted from the RP entirely. If you feel that someone is breaking one of these rules, please inform me via a private message on either LV or Discord. Even if you aren't 100% sure if a rule is being broken (mostly for the PG13 rule), feel free to contact me. Players will not receive strikes for trying to make sure other players are keeping the RP a safe and happy place for people to write in. If you see that a post severely breaks one of the rules that are to be followed by LV's rules (both RP and General Site rules), do not be afraid to immediately report that post. This is an extreme measure that will most likely not be met, but it still needed to be outlined.

"...and next up, we have Shiro Hidashi, from Violet City!" the announcer called out. Shiro gulped audibly, although there was no-one around to hear him. He stroked his long white ponytail as he paced back and forth.

"Alright, you can do this. You stuffed up pretty bad in your last contest back home, but you're in Sinnoh now. A fresh start. Come on, stand up straight, shoulders back; confidence. The judges like confidence."

Shiro clenched his fists, pushing out any last anxiety, before making his way onto the stage. The crowd applauded him as he made his way to the performance area, Shiro waving politely back at them. Once they'd settled down, Shiro grabbed the Poké Ball from his belt, encased in a purple Seal Case, and tossed it into the air.

"Beth, the stage is yours!" he called. As the Poké Ball burst open, a flurry of pink confetti rained down, and once it had cleared, a Skitty was standing in the middle of the stage, wiggling it's tail to-and-fro. The crowd let out a collective 'aww', and Shiro began his performance.

"Alright Beth, use Captivate, then Tail Whip!" Shiro commanded. Beth complied, creating a small circle of hearts around her with Captivate. As she did, she flung them around the stage with Tail Whip, the hearts floating around in a more playful manner. Shiro could also tell that Beth had activated her Cute Charm, as all of the Pokémon in the crowd - and some of the humans, couldn't take their eyes off of her.

"Good job! Next up, we'll use Sing!" Shiro smiled. Beth began to meow a poppy tune, and the hearts floating around were now accompanied by the colourful music notes being created by the Sing attack. Luckily for Shiro, he'd trained Beth's sing to not send humans or Pokémon to sleep when used like this. He didn't want anyone falling asleep during his performance, after all.

"Excellent! Let's wrap this up with a Hyper Voice!" Shiro exclaimed. The air around her filled with hearts and music notes, Beth took in a deep breath, before letting out a rather loud meow. The sound wasn't harmful to the ears, but the shock waves created from the volume collided with the hearts and musical notes, making them burst into a shower of colourful glitter, which rained down on Shiro and Beth as they bowed, signifying that they'd ended their performance. The crowd erupted in applause, and Beth ran into Shiro's open arms, the small pink Pokémon giving her Trainer a nuzzle. Shiro gave her a well-deserved head-scratch, then gave the crowd one final wave as he made his way off of the stage.

"Beth, that was amazing! For your first real performance, you did a great job! It was just like we planned, so now all we have to do is train you up to make that performance even cuter!" Shiro smiled to his Pokémon, as they made their way down the hall and into the back room, where the other coordinators were waiting, either for their turn or their final score.

"Wow," Hikari thought, breathing deeply, "he's incredible..." Probably like everyone else, Hikari was nervous. She tried to calm herself, thinking that she wasn't the only one who was nervous. She was hoping that the next coordinator up would be someone else, but as the announcer's voice began to scream "Hikari," she knew that she needed to go out there in the stage.

She put her hand onto her beating chest, trying to calm herself down even further. Her name echoed throughout her mind, until it was finally time. "Frost, a grand entrance please!" she called, throwing Frost's Poké Ball in the air, opening afterwards. Silver ribbons began to come out with the shine that contained Frost, arranging and timing itself so that it formed a gorgeous crown that appeared when Frost made her entrance. Due to her ability, Snow Warning, it started to hail, causing the temperature to slowly drop.

Hikari raised her hands in the air, taking a deep breath, "Frost, use Aurora Veil!" The Alolan Ninetales began to walk slowly, howling afterwards, causing a beautiful aurora to be cast on the stage. It comprised of red and green streamers that made the crowd watch in awe due to its inherent beauty. "You're doing great!" Hikari thought, nodding at how successful Frost was at getting everybody's attention.

"Alright, use Ice Beam!" Hikari commanded, causing Frost to release a beam of ice. "Now run around and twirl!" Unbelievably, Frost began to look more like a gymnast who was using the Ice Beam as her ribbon. Her plan was to freeze the stage down to make it look something like the North or South Poles. After freezing the stage, Frost halted using her Ice Beam, this time, walking and running around with the hail.

"If we can pull this off," Hikari thought, "we might be even able to win!" Hikari smiled at Frost, the latter looking back at her before silently nodding. "Use Safeguard!" Frost leaped in the air and began to envelop herself in a shining, white orb. It continued to sparkle, but Hikari knew it wouldn't last long. Taking advantage of what was already there, she began to tell Frost her next command, "Finally, use Dazzling Gleam!" Frost began to glow in pink, releasing it as a wave that made the white orb sparkle even further. The stage that was already shining due to it being frozen and the "sky" that was filled with glowing streamers began to glow even further.

"And that's where our royal story ends!" Hikari said, waiting for Frost to come down back on the stage for it to hear the crowd cheering and applauding their performance. The two bowed afterwards; Frost leaving a big smile on her face. Hikari began to crouch, petting Frost's head. "You were really pretty out there! You remind me of an ice princess." Frost yapped a few times before it was hugged by Hikari. The two soon began to walk away from the stage, causing the hail to stop.

Ainsley inhaled nervously as he looked at the screens that displayed the performers that went before him. "Oh golly, oh gee... How beautiful! I wonder if I can compete with them..." he thought. Ainsley sighed, and Gwydion could sense his Trainer's doubts far too well. The shiny Gardevoir was standing next to him and shook Ainsley's shoulders to get him to focus. The announcer's voice boomed through the waiting room. "And now, Petalburg City's very own Ainsley Hartigan!"

"Gar! Voir!", Gwydion shouted with a big smile and high-fived Ainsley as he saw him off with a big smile. The trust that his Pokémon gave him made Ainsley feel slightly more relaxed. When the director gave him the cue, Ainsley ran onto the stage and bowed deeply and gracefully to the audience. He then grinned widely and tossed his Seal Case-enveloped Dive Ball containing Morgenstern into the sky.

"Let's give our audience a positively stellar performance! Come! Morgenstern!" he shouted with the utmost joy as his Starmie burst forth surrounded by a helix of bright blue bubbles, spiralling around during its descent until it landed onto the stage. Its ruby-like gemstone shone brightly, showing its excitement at being able to perform.

"Remember the starry sky we saw when we first met? Let's recreate that for our audience! Use Cosmic Power!" Ainsley called, spreading his arms widely. A large projection of a star-filled sky was cast from Morgenstern's deep red gemstone, increasing in size until it covered the empty space above the stage. Ainsley could hear the crowd go "Ahhhhh!" in delight and it made his heart pound faster. Yes, this feeling was why he became a Pokémon Coordinator.

"Yes! Well done! Now then, use Teleport!" Ainsley cheered and Morgenstern vanished in a flash of light, re-appearing in the star-filled projection. Once there, Morgenstern let himself fall downwards while its Illuminate ability lit up behind its body, both creating a halo around the Pokémon and leaving trails of light as it fell. Before it hit the ground, however, it teleported again to a different location in the starry sky and repeated the process a few extra times, giving the impression of a meteor shower. "Such lovely falling stars~!" Ainsley thought and looked happily at his Starmie, who seemed to be enjoying this as much as Ainsley did. "Who knows, this next combination might just do the trick, Stern!"

"Splendid! Now, for our grand astral finale! Teleport one last time and use Whirlpool!" Ainsley said, pointing skyward. The Starmie did as it was told and teleported into the star-filled air, spinning rapidly at a diagonal angle while gathering light inside of its own body. Then, at its highest point, Morgenstern shot sprays of water from five of its ten arms, effectively creating a swirling pattern of water in the air while keeping itself suspended at the same time. Morgenstern had carefully distanced itself so the audience wouldn't be hit with its water. The soothing light from Cosmic Power's sky in combination with the reflective and refractive properties of the Whirlpool's water allowed for a shimmering Milky Way-like pattern to appear in the air in front of the Cosmic Power sky, rotating slowly and remaining there long enough for the audience to admire its beauty.

Morgenstern stopped spinning, descended and lightly touched the stage floor and struck a cheerful pose together with Ainsley, signifying the end of their routine. While they both bowed down deeply during the audience's cheers and applause, the still-glimmering water spirals turned into shimmering droplets of water and slowly rained down upon the stage before them. "You have done wonderfully, my dear friend! I am so very, very proud of you." Ainsley said happily to Morgenstern as the Cosmic Power sky vanished into thin air and the duo left the stage, waving at the crowd and smiling all the while.

Ainsley retreated to where his Gardevoir and the other performers were waiting. When he saw his Trainer and Morgenstern return, he gave a "Eh-Voir" of approval, folded his arms and grinned proudly at both of them.

Ainsley smiled shyly and scratched his neck in embarrassment as he retreated Morgenstern into his Dive Ball.

"Up next, please welcome Maya Nijiiro to the stage!" the emcee announced, revealing a brown haired girl in a sparkling red and white costume with a matching top hat with her faithful Pikachu Lita by her side.

A jazzy melody filled the air as the song "Jump Up, Superstar!" started playing over the speakers--eventually, Maya wanted to perform to the whole song, but just a brief excerpt would have to do for this first contest.

Here we go, off the rails
Don't you know it's time to raise our sails?
the female singer sang as Lita opened with a high jump and a Brick Break, making a small yellow streak as she dove to the stage
It's freedom like you never knew...

Don't need bags, or a pass,
Say the word, I'll be there in a flash...
On the word "flash" Lita started charging a Thunderbolt for her next move.
You could say my hat is off to you! At this line, Maya tossed her hat to the sky, Lita's Thunderbolt arcing through the air and through a hidden hole in the hat to create a dazzling electric arc, to the cheers of the crowd as Maya caught the miraculously unscathed hat!

Oh, we can zoom all the way to the moon, At this, Lita zoomed in an electrified circle around her master, creating a sparking crescent moon from her Agility
From this great wide wacky world,
Jump with me, grab coins with me, oh yeah!
Lita unleashed one more Thunderbolt that connected with her Agility trail, connecting a Super Mario Bros-style star with the electric moon, to the cheer of the crowd and the song fading out.

Maya took a bow for the cheering crowd, and hurried off with Lita back to the holding room. "Wasn't as elaborate as I had hoped for, but we'll get better as we go." she assured the little electric mouse."

Leila sat back stage, her heart beating quickly as she watched the performances go. "I don't know if I can ever be as good as they were, that but I can try!" She thought as she gripped her capsule encased Pokéball tightly. She played with the flower in her hair and slowly calmed down. She watched others come back, her hands shaking with anticipation, for each person who came off she gave a smile and a thumbs up. She took a deep breath as the announcer came over the PA, "Next up, we have Leila Heartgrove from Floraroma Town!" She smiled and waited for a moment before she ran out to the stage, waving to the crowd with a smile on her face.

Leila held the ball loosely in her hand before spinning around a few times while opening the Pokéball. A shower of yellow petals rained over her in a swirling pattern and a Leafeon landed on her shoulders. She made a bridge to the floor with her arm and Leafeon ran down her arm with a cute cry. "Leaf!" The audience made a small coo of adoration for the cute entrance it made.

Leila beamed at her, "Alright Silvia, let's give these wonderful people a show!" Silvia yipped and ran in a circle around her before she looked at Leila. Leila pointed to the sky, "Silvia use Magical Leaf! Show off those beautiful colors!" Silvia pointed its nose at the sky and launched a barrage of leaves surrounded by pink, purple, and blue aura, each a full leaf. The audience's eyes watched the leaves and gave a small Oooing before the leaves reached their apex of height and began to fall back at Leila and Silva. "Now use Leaf Blade!" Leila said sweeping her hand across the stage.

Silvia jumped into the air and the frill on the top of its head began to glow and elongate like a ribbon of light. With gentle flicks of her head, the ribbon like Leaf Blade cut the Magical leaves into smaller glowing petals. The audience cheered as the watched Silvia's ribbon dance through the air. Landing back on the ground Leafeon looked up to the audience, its frill returning to the normal leaf appearance it was before. Leila clapped her hands together, "Now Silva, use your spectacular Iron Tail!"

Silva nodded and jumped back into the air using Iron tail, its leaf tail glowing gray with a reflective texture, giving those in the first few rows a clear look of a mirror effect on the magical leaf petals before Leafeon spun and her tail hit the leaves around her. The leaves disintegrated on contact with the move but became multi color shifting sparkles that fell around Silvia with a ring of untouched petal leaves circling her. The audience gave a large round of applause for the show of precise skill Silva had shown. "This might just be a perfect run of this set" Leila giggled internally, happy to see Silva do so well. "Now for our beautiful finally! Silva, use Giga Drain." Silvia the Leafeon stood at attention and little orbs of green light began to come from the last of the leaves, they continued to circle for a moment before being drawn through the sparkles and into Silva giving her a glowing look of purple, pink, and blue shimmer. Leila smiled at the audience and took her bow, Silvia did as well, bowing its head before hopping back on Leila's shoulders The audience giving her a round of applause as they made their way off stage. Once in the back Leila took a deep breath and hugged Silva tight. "That was incredible, thank you Silva!" She said with a lot of glee.

John sat patiently for his turn to arrive, silently observing the performances with the practiced eye of a battler as he mentally adjusted to the new environment. Though he had accomplished much as a Trainer, his end goal remained as elusive as ever, and he knew that to pursue it he needed to expand his horizons.

"And now, please extend a warm welcome for John Maxwell of Eucreteak City!" the announcer said over the loudspeaker. Without a word, John strode out onto the stage. Despite his normally-relaxed look, he had opted to add a tie to his ensemble, a simple red tie that contrasted with his light blue button-down shirt and khaki pants. Fingering a single Pokéball, he muttered to himself, "Here goes nothing..." He then threw the Pokéball toward centre stage and shouted, "Tron, run executable!" The Pokéball opened up and released a sleek black-coloured Pokémon, blue rings shining with power as the umbreon landed gracefully.

"Tron, open up with Charm!" The umbreon's expression shifted from his practiced neutral to a more adorable look, his eyes shining with cuteness and causing hearts to appear around him. "Now, follow up with Swift!" John announced. Tron looked up and opened his mouth as stars began to fly about the stage, almost dancing around the hearts in the air. "Now, finish the appeal with Heal Bell!" As Tron leaped into the air and called out, a bell appeared in the middle of the hearts and stars, causing them to explode in sparkling flashes of light.

A moderate amount of applause broke out as the round finished. "A flashy performance by John Maxwell and Tron! Thank you for your performance!" the MC announced. John bowed gracefully and, with a motion of his hand for Tron to join him, strode quietly off the stage. Once he returned to his seat, he softly petted Tron and said, "You did well out there, my friend. We will need to work on being more interactive..." Feeding Tron a PokeBlock, he turned his attention to the next performance.

Maria was one of the last to preform. She had carefully planned out every step to make sure everything was perfect. she was excited to finally preform in front of more people than just her parents! She had almost completely spaced out until she heard her name.

"Up next, we have Maria Kalisti from Mossdeep city!" The announcer joyfully exclaimed. Maria went onto the stage and make a pose. "Alright, Sniff, its your time to shine!" Maria through out a love ball and a brown and pink Pokémon covered in pink mist landed on the stage. The mist disappeared while Sniff made a pose.

"Sniff! Start with Rest then go right into sleep talk!" The stufful seemingly fell asleep, but after a few seconds, the stufful began to sing! There was a decent reaction, but this wasn't the end for the duo. "Sniff! End with baby doll eyes then activate your fluffy ability!" The stufful made a cute face. The Stufful activated its fluffy ability. All of the hair on it poofed out and made Sniff look like a giant cotton ball. Perfect! Great timing Sniff! Maria thought. The combination made the whole audience "awwww!" That was what Maria's team was built around, cuteness!

"Wow! Such an adorable performance from Maria and Sniff!" The announcer said, declaring the end of their performance. Maria was still nervous, but was also really excited just to see the other performers. She sat down in a seat off the stage and cuddled her stufful, waiting for the next performer.

"Thank you all for an astounding beginning of the contest season here in our lovely Sinnoh. I am Miss Marina and I am the head judge for this contest season! Here are my trusty partners in crime. Mr. Saito and Mr. Bananas." One of the judges had stood up and waved at the crowd as she spoke into her mic. Marina laughed heartily as the crowd clapped wildly in response, some even laughing at Mr. Bananas.

"Each contest will be judged on several different components, like the theme, creativity, complexity of the appeal. In each category you can get 5 points maximum from each judge, getting a maximum of 15 per category. As this is the first contest, Mr. Saito, Mr. Bananas, and I decided to score only on the theme and creativity tonight." Marina explained briefly, her fellow judges nodding at her words.

"Without further ado, I will announce the results from this very first contest. In the last place is Maya Nijima with 16.5 points. We were very disappointed with the lack of interaction between trainer and Pokémon. Aside from that, we felt that the Pokémon became secondary to the music that played and you were penalized for it, as it distracted from the appeal." The woman shook her head as she revealed the last place contender.

"Next up is Hikari Rio with 20 points. It was a solid appeal, but the level of performance was a bit too advanced for this contest. In fifth place is, Ainsley Hartigan with 22.5 points. It was a very nice appeal and we love the creativity you and Morgenstern display, sadly, it fell into the advanced category and we had to mark you down a bit for it. Shiro Tadashi had placed fourth with 23.5 points. The performance was good, but not enough to convince us." Marina quickly went down the list of performers until she hit the top 3.

"The second runner up is Maria Kalisti with 25.5 points. Very well done! And now the moment you have all been waiting for, the crowning of the Twinleaf Contest winner, who will receive the Twinleaf ribbon, is," she paused briefly for a dramatic effect. "Leila Heartgrove with 27 points! The runner up is John Maxwell with a very close 26 points!"

"Congratulations on your win, Leila. May all the contestants have a great season and a wonderful time here in Sinnoh." With this, Marina signed off and sat back down, quietly conversing with her fellow judges.

(We noticed some inconsistencies with regards to ability usage and Pokémon height and weight. Cute Charm can only be activated with Physical contact and even then only entrances the attacker. This was shown in an actual contest episode. Please do some research on how your abilities activate and how big your Pokémon is in comparison to your character.)

Maya was devastated to find she had placed at the bottom of the rankings. Back at home, people loved how well she and her Pokémon synced to the music, creating beautiful appeals without Maya ever saying a word.

"What did they mean by 'lack of interaction'? Are they expecting me to bark commands like any old trainer would?" she wondered.

It was now the day after the contest. Shiro was a little disappointed that he hadn't made the Top 3, or that the judge mispronounced his name, but it was only the first contest - there would be plenty of other chances for Shiro to win.

"Alright, the website says that," Shiro muttered to himself, "the next contest is in Sandgem Town, but they haven't announced when it'll be held. Guess I'll just train until then."

Walking around the small town known as Twinleaf, Shiro could see that there were many other people around, presumably other co-ordinators, staff members for the rally, and fans who wanted to follow the entire contest. Shiro wasn't much of a people-person, so he decided he'd train his Pokémon in a quieter part of town.

"Alright, according to this map," Shiro said, fixing his glasses so he could see the map of Twinleaf Town he'd loaded onto his phone, "there's a small meadow in the north of the town, and a lake in the south. Since I'm in the south already, I'll head to that lake. It's more accessible for my team, anyway."

Shiro put his phone away and made his way towards the lake.

"I wonder if I'll run into one of my rivals..." he thought aloud as he walked.

John sat beside the main path of route 201, Tron resting beside him, and contemplated the contest yesterday. "I did not expect us to do so well. While we did not win, that we missed it by only one point is surely a testament to your talents and our bond." Tron purred as John absently scratched behind his ears and continued, "However, I am concerned about my fellow competitors. Ms. Nijiiro, especially, looked dejected... I hope she is able to overcome this hurdle."

Tron looked up at John and mewed a reply, his worried expression mirroring John's feelings.

John looked back at Tron, smiled, and replied, "Do not worry. I have not forgotten about our goals, but at the same time I cannot help but be concerned for others. I would have said something yesterday, but I suspect it would not have been taken well. Perhaps we'll see her in the next contest." He then stood up and stretched. "So, ready for the next phase of our training? I hear the shoreline of Lake Verity is pleasant; maybe we should train there?" Tron mewed in agreement as he stood up. "Alright, let's head there," John said as he and the whole team, which he proceeded to release, began to head for the lakefront.

Leila couldn't believe she had actually won, she could barely sleep, she was so full of energy. She headed out from the Pokémon Center, she Pokémon refreshed and her excitement for the next contest was high. Leila finished tieing small pink flowers in her hair before she skipped out to town. She waved Hello to a few passerby's who recognized her from the sh ow. Pulling out her little digital town map she flipped it open and clicked on Sandgem town, she looked over the route before spying a lake right down the road, "Sugarbelle would love to visit such a scenic place!" She smiled opening the Pokéball letting out a big eared bunny Pokémon. "Come on Sugarbelle, I wanna show you some place!" She ran down the road with the bunny bounding behind her. Leila screeched to a halt almost running into another man, a man from the contest yesterday, "Shiro? Oh my, I was a huge fan of your performance yesterday!"

Shiro grimaced when he heard someone call his name.

"Great, probably some fangirl who's really into my 'anime hair'..." Shiro muttered, before turning and seeing none other than the winner of the Twinleaf Contest, Leila Heartgrove.

"Oh, Miss Leila!" Shiro exclaimed, taking a quick side-step to avoid being plowed over. "Thank you for the compliment. Your performance was amazing, I mean, you did win first place after all."

Shiro turned to look behind Leila. There wasn't anyone behind her, so she wasn't running from anyone... was she running to Shiro?

"Are you headed to the lake too? I was just going to get some performance training in, and one of my Pokémon is a water-dweller, so it would be easier for me there." Shiro explained.

She smiled, "Thank you so much, I put a lot of hard work in with Silvia" Leila patted the Shiny Lopunny's head, "Why yes, I am heading to the lake, I thought Sugarbelle would like the look of the still water, she has never seen large bodies of water since she hatched in my home town." Sugarbelle bounced a little and smiled to Shiro. "Also, the foliage around the lake is great for making flower crowns, it would be nice to get a little relaxation after yesterdays events." She looked at him happily, "which Pokémon do you have that is a water type? I wouldn't have taken you for a water type user. That is very wonderful!"

"Why don't I keep it a surprise until we make it to the la-" Shiro began, before his phone jingled to alert him of an update to the schedule for the rally.

"Hey, there's an update. Here, let me read it aloud... Oh, it's the theme for Sandgem's Contest!" Shiro gasped, before scrolling through his phone to the important details.

"Hmm... OK... Ah, here we go. The theme for Sandgem's Pokémon Contest is 'Summer', and it's a team performance... And, hey, we're partnered up! What a stroke of luck, we can practice out at the lake!" Shiro smiled, putting his phone away.

Leila smiled, her own phone going off, she ignored the beeping device since she just heard the news in front of her. "That is wonderful! I am so excited to get to work with someone so creative!" She clapped her hands together and giggled, fixing the strap on her dress. "Well we will have to see which Pokémon we wanna use, and all the combos we can do, oh how exciting!" Sugarbelle hopped up and down, her fluffy ears settling after her body landed. Leila started to the lake again, "well come on, seems we have a lot to learn about each other!"

(My god, I didn't realize the Rp thread was already up..!)

Io had been late to the Twinleaf Contest due to some problems back home, so she had been forced to sit back and watch the other coordinators perform instead. She had to say that all of them was beautiful, incredibly so, and she was unsure if she could compete against them.

Luckily the second contest seemed to have them perform in pairs, which meant she'd at leat have some help. Humming a bit, Io looked through the crowd for her partner, the coordinator named Hikari.

Hikari was surprised to learn that she was second to the last, although it was much better than being the actual dead last. She could've sworn that they did better, but she didn't dare question the results. After all, the other coordinators did perform better than she and Frost did. "Hm, well, that's our first contest," Hikari said, smiling back at the sad Ninetales, "I'm sure we'll get the chance to win next time."

When Hikari checked the next contest in her phone, she found out that it will be in Sandgem Town, and that she will have to work with another coordinator named Iolana White. "I don't remember seeing her in the contest, but hopefully we can work something out." She also found out that the theme will be "Summer," much to her dismay as she only had one Water-type, Kipkip the Finneon. "Might be a problem," she sighed, "although hopefully me and my partner can pull this off."

She looked around the venue to see if Iolana White was watching the contest so that they could finally talk, but she couldn't find her. Instead, she ended up asking a tall, muscular girl with blonde hair and blue eyes. "Um," she stuttered, "might you, by any chance, know who Iolana White is? Although you probably wouldn't, considering that there are hundreds of people who were watching the contest."
