    Imagine if Pokémon truly existed.

Do you think that we as human beings would treat them the same way as they are portrayed in the anime?
Would you keep it in a Pokéball?

Imagine if the world had massive Gyarados' swimming in it's lakes.
    Would you go near it?

For the sake of keeping discussion, lets say that battling is legal since it's what the Pokémon enjoy doing.
    Would you battle them?
Or would you keep them as pets?
Would you try to tame the strongest ones?
Or would you just enjoy a casual fight every now again?

Again, imagine if they were REAL.
For me, I think I would battle them... but not strive to be the best.
I, for one, would enjoy a decent battle with friends. But I couldn't see myself pushing my own Pokémon to be the very best because I'd accept them for what they are. Of course, if they showed high talent, I might strive for a bigger dream in that aspect. I would keep mine out of it's Pokéball unless it insists on being in it. I think I'd stay away from the big Pokémon. XD Unless, of course, it evolves into a big Pokémon. Even so, if it didn't like me I'd be reluctant to irritate it. Haha.~

But then again, I'd be happy with a Lanturn alone.

I would probably raise up my Pokémon to be strong, just to protect ourselves from other Pokémon in the wild or evil trainers that may try to hurt us haha. But mostly I'd go for Pokémon that are good companions. I think I'd search for some team like a dragonair, an arcanine, and a braviary, and just go on adventures with them. Not trying to be the best, but trying to see every Pokémon in the world and get good stories to enjoy. I'd probably bring a camera along and have the goal of trying to 'capture' every Pokémon in existence. xD

I'd keep them out of their pokeballs unless they needed or wanted to be inside. I don't think I would look for a fight, but I know I wouldn't back down from a fight unless I knew I couldn't win or my Pokémon didn't want to fight.

And I don't think I'd be very afraid of wild Pokémon. I'd have my partners by my side to help me, after all. :D

I think I'd be similar, shying away from any Pokémon that could stand taller than me. I think that I'd be drawn more to the humanoid Pokémon or animal Pokémon, so Pokémon like Gallade, Roserade, Arcanine, Mawile. I guess I would try to raise them in a really friendly way and maybe have a little Pokémon battle for fun every once in a while. I certainly wouldn't go around battling everyone to try and train my Pokémon. I honestly don't know what I'd think if my Pokémon got hurt. I think I would use Pokeballs, but a lot more for safety for my Pokémon than for travelling. If I'm taking them somewhere that might be dangerous for them, I'd keep them in their Pokeballs and let them out when it is safe, otherwise they would probably stay out of them.

Actually handling them though... I'd probably be reckless, probably stab myself with one of Roserade's thorns or get my arm caught in a Mawile's jaw. Seriously, I can guarantee this happening.

The thing is... there are the fairly harmless Pokémon, like Eevee; and then there's stuff like Slugma... which is made of lava... and Dragon types, so I feel like I'd have an odd mixture of "ermagherd, look at all the Pokemans" and "TRUBBISH IS REAL! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!"

I'd hate to keep my Pokémon in its Pokéball- we don't really know what it's like in there- and would probably leave it out, more often than not. I'd definitely train my 'mons, but not for battling, for their own safety and my own. I won't actively seek out battles, if my team wasn't up for it. I'd see them more as friends than pets.

What would worry me the most is other people abusing their Pokémon. Looking at human history as a whole it's very possible. Then again we'd probably get people like Alder, who'd preach harmony with Pokémon. I dunno, man, I'd just be out chilling with my 'mons- having adventures, stupid shenanigans, and schmuck.

I would raise a deino into a hydreigon. I might not have many other Pokémon because it'd be expensive to feed them. But definetly a Hydreigon. I'd love her and pet her and hug her!
Though I'd have her out of her Pokéball as much as possible, some people might not like it.

i would make a Pokémon dating site. it would be like a daycare, except they'd want to breed. i would make a restuarant with all kinds of berries to support their bonding. of course it'd accept genderless Pokémon too! everyone needs a partner! in all seriousness i think it would be cool.

Well, in a world where it's pretty much impossible to die, unless it's of old age, I wouldn't be afraid to go near a Gyarados. If a person can withstand the high voltage shock of a Pikachu, or the scorching flames of a Growlithe, then surely, a Gyarados' bite wouldn't be that lethal?

As far as the topic goes, I'd probably have a mix of pets and battlers. I'd keep the weaker, unevolved ones as pets, while I used my roughest, toughest, strongest ones to battle with. I'd keep them in Balls most likely, while the pets freely roam my household if they please. Much like I am in the games, I'd probably be a really competitive trainer, striving to defeat the Elite 4 and become Champion of the region. I think humans would mostly treat Pokémon nicely, but we can't have a perfect world. Even in the anime/games, Pokémon are mistreated by villainous groups and other misc. trainers.

Hmm, I would maybe keep an eevee as a pet (eevee is just adoreable in my opinion cx) but if I could have the chance to go out on a joyrney I would want too, I mean that would be pretty amazing, right? I think even if I didn't I would still have fun just staying in my city with a Pokémon team :3

I'd have a few Pokémon as pets. Probably an Espeon and a Jigglypuff, as they're both cute and stuff. I'd probably be a somewhat skilled trainer, but not the champion or anything like that. It'd be a nice life! Ah, if only Pokémon were real... Although, I guess some power-hungry guy would go haywire with a Charizard or something, so that's a problem... Oh well.

If Pokémon were real..... The government wouldn't give us any, hog them for themselves for 'politics' and then the world would go boom due to evil Pokémon. (Hoopa Unbound, etc.)

But if I had one, I would have only partners, and be a trainer looking for a good battle, whether its the contest kind or regular ol' battle. Maybe even have some pets? Just a Growlithe probably, mayb even a- no, DEFINATELY a Fletchling cause they're so cute!

I would treat them VERY carefully..assuming a charizard doesn't burn down a house first.

I assume Pokémon would be treated the same as they are in the anime. After all, it's more humane that way.
Honestly, as much as I love battling in game, I can only see myself doing so for things like Pokémon contests and protecting people, rather than just for sport. I'd rather keep Pokémon as more as pets, or rather friends who live with me.

Honestly, if I saw a giant lake monster like a gyrados or a giant serpent, I would scream in terror; but I assume that they're kind of everywhere, so I don't think I would have any real fears of Pokémon if I was living in that kind of world.

Assuming Pokémon would be treated humanely (except by evil teams, but lets face it a 10 year old can take them down in a day), I'd still raise a strong team for protection. The Pokémon world is pretty dangerous haha. Wild Pokémon, man. Like a rampaging Tyranitar.

That isn't to say though, that I wouldn't treat them like my friends.

Tbh, I can see humans in this world abusing Pokémon and taking advantage of them, much like they do animals. This is just how humanity is imo, greedy.

I'd probably just have them as pets, I can see myself being any good at raising them P:

I think if Pokémon were real, I'd prolly just keep them as pets/friends, unless they wanted to battle. Maybe have a little ghost-type farm. :>
Mostly because I would feel terrible when they get hurt, and I'd prolly have little experience anyway since I doubt my parents would let me travel the region at 10 years old.

If Pokémon were real, I might try to keep them as pets and friends to have a great time with. I may be shying away from strong-looking Pokémon at first, but I'll try to keeping them with care.

If Pokémon were real, I would keep them as pets, though I have ones that are strong and can battle.
I would have Goomy as my main one (You saw this one coming didn't you)
Anyways I think some are cute and some are Bada*s so I would keep them both for pets and for battling as well
