If TST existed... here's who I would cast

If you don't know what TST is, it's short for Talking Spirit Telepathy. It's a type of telepathy/translator that allows you to understand what a Pokémon is saying. Obviously, if TST existed in the anime, all of Ash's Pokémon would be played by someone... but who? I answer that today. Here are my TST casting choices for all of Ash's Pokémon.

KANTO:
Pikachu: Grey DeLisle
Bulbasaur: Maile Flanagan
Squirtle: Coleen Clinkenbeard
Caterpie-Metapod-Butterfree: all three played by Grey DeLisle
Charmander-Charmeleon-Charizard: As Charmander and Charmeleon- Todd Haberkorn, as Charizard- Patrick Seitz
Pidgeotto-Pidgeot: both played by Eric Vale

ORANGE ISLANDS:
Snorlax- Patrick Seitz

JOHTO:
Heracross: Eric Vale (and coincidentally, he's played by Katsuyuki Konishi in Japan, too! Not unlike Vale's most famous roles... but this isn't a Hetalia forum.)
Chikorita-Bayleef: both played by Erica Schroeder
Cyndaquil-Quilava: As Cyndaquil- Andrea Libman; as Quilava- Todd Haberkorn
Totodile: Tony Anselmo (look up who he is, and it should be OBVIOUS as to why! )
Noctowl: J. Michael Tatum
Phanpy-Donphan: As Phanphy- Maile Flanagan; as Donphan- Patrick Seitz

HOENN:
Taillow-Swellow: both played by Tara Strong
Treecko-Grovyle-Sceptile: As Treecko: Caleb McLaughlin; as Grovyle and Sceptile- Leslie Odom, Jr.
Corphish: Lin-Manuel Miranda
Torkoal: Patrick Seitz
Snorunt-Glalie: both played by Sean Schemmel

Okay. For the record, though, Maile Flanagan is Naruto.

 

Yeah. And two voices from Stranger Things. Though I think Gaten Matarazzo would do well if he ever got into an anime. I just thought he fit Lycanroc.

Very well, then. Sceptile will now be played by... I honestly have no clue. Corphish? Bryce Papenbrook.

Alright then... besides those two, who do you think was the best casting choice?

 

I’d probably have to go with Tony Anselmo as Totodile. If you don’t know who he is... he’s the voice of Donald Duck. And we all know Totodile is basically Donald Duck as a Pokémon, so...
